Just my humble take on this contest. I think PW is one of the cooler nm models in the game. (Also bonus points to me for wearing his sword and shield?) :)

I will always remember the day I took down Serket back in the 75 era with just my fellowship NPC. Back before we had trusts, and before the level cap was raised that was a noteworthy feat. Granted this was nothing compared to the solos Avesta did on red mage back in the day, but it's still one of my more memorable moments. Most of the people who pulled off the solo were either on monk, blue mage, or red mage or something of the like. I soloed him on thief, and it was a hell of a fight. I didn't kill until almost 4 minutes into the rage timer so it was down to the wire. I recorded a video clip of it but thanks to the outdated hardware I was playing with back then the quality is pretty garbage. This is the best screenshot I could get out of it.

I enjoyed THF solos back then myself. Firing off millions of gil worth of bolts and shihei for hours only to not get any drops :P

Yup. Tons of acid bolts, bloody bolts, shihei, antidotes, a signal pearl and a fully charged tactics pearl. And this is back before mog wardrobes existed so you had to have everything in your main 80 slots. I didn't get the V claw that day, but I didn't care. The personal satisfaction was reward enough.
