I am helping someone with an issue with the mission/quest.
The bait is not being used and a msg that says "you didn't catch anything" the goliath worm is equipped and using halcyon rod.

He did everything right, just spam fish. There's nothing more you/they can do.

Assume he never fishes so it's not capped out, it's not a 100% thing, you just keep going.

he has been doing it for 2 days now.

Iunno maybe the update broke the fishing table, no one fishes, we'd never know.

There's nothing that comes to mind, it's imposible to be in the wrong zone, impossible to be at the wrong pond, it works with any rod, zero skill, isn't fatigued, is at the right part, addons can't force rod/bait off when you fish, a bad xivew can't cause it, fastcs can't break it.

Everything checks out.

We're 100% sure he doesn't already have the KI for the lake he's fishing at? Is this happening only for one of the KIs, or all 3? Has he been able to get the others, if it's only happening for one?

Is he trying to fish it from the sea instead of from the ponds? The BG wiki and XIclopedia has the claim that you can fish them from the sea, but I've only ever used the ponds.

I fished up the three KIs from the sea in October, so it worked then at least (went three for three).
