Hello Asura!
I'll get straight to the point. Whereisdi (the character on Asura) will sign off for the final time at the end of December (12/31).
I want to thank everyone who supported me for the last 3 years (especially those that bought flowers!).
I started this project as test 3 years ago and was surprised to see its growth from just word of mouth. Unfortunately, I've stopped playing on my main for quite some time now and I think it's about time for Whereisdi also.
The add-on (also confusingly named Whereisdi) will continue to run indefinitely. I've been pretty pleased how well the add-on has worked, especially on other servers where I couldn't really run a character. In it's first year running there's been location data submitted from over 3,000 players. I realize the add-on is not really the most convenient alternative (especially for vanilla and ashita players). I may consider coming up with a solution to that, time permitting.
Again, I want to thank the community for their support.

Thank you for your contribution and addon to the game, it's sad that Square Enix is so out of touch that we're capped to only a few hundred per unity fraction for NO F***ING REASON, which of most are AFK 95% of the time.

If I had to make a top 5 list of most useful people/greatest additions to ffxi by players, Whereisdi ranks #1. Invented a solution to an annoying problem that SE didn’t care to fix (no, running to two zones to check dragons , shouting, or using Unity chat when it’s full almost all of the time were terrible alternatives, so don’t). I didn’t even bother doing DI if Whereisdi wasn’t online; it was THAT convenient. Can’t say enough good things about this guy and his program.

When I first came back to the game and someone explained to me, " Yeah just /t whereisdi / and it'll tell you where the next invasion is" and to my surprise it worked, it blew my innocent little mind.
