Hello,
i got problem with my monthly payment

3 weeks ago, i received a new visa card, mine was expirating on september.
i login to square enix and updated my payment method last week, since my next billing was for 10/02
yesterday, account has been cancelled
i can't reactivate :

An error has occurred.
Please confirm the status of any relevant options and then try again.
For details, please contact the Square Enix Support Center.
(Error code: 401)

i contact support and it says there is problem with my new visa card

Our financial department has informed us that the initial payment was rejected.
Common reasons for this are:
- Some credit cards do not allow recurring payments, or it needs to be enabled on your bank account
- Not enough funds available on the bank account
- The credit card details were entered incorrectly
- A VPN or proxy service was used

i checked with my bank and i have been taxed on 09/29, 3 days ago
now, i found a way to reactivate : i bought crysta

but i paid same month 2 times
is all of this normal ?

If you got charged twice it's obviously an issue. Contact support to refund you.

Forever ago when they switched to credit cards needing 3D secure to be accepted, I got a new card. SE then billed my old card AND the new card I just added to my profile. Because it was pre Crysta days where you could load up for a few months at a time, I had been double billed. When I had one of them charged back, I got hit with a 3 day timeout. (-_-)b

Ive had similar issues before with same thing..it happens and is a pain in the butt to deal with you often have to talk to your bank about it

i had same issue today.
they charged 2 payments without having crysta back.

i didn't see at first but i have the same problem with FFXIV
they taxed me too on 09/29 for FFXIV

for the moment, i exchanged 7 emails with support
but i can see it's going to be difficult to have a refund

Would be careful about bank/paypal chargeback, SE will just ban your account if it goes through. Need to resolve it through SE, as shitty as they are.

you are right, thanks for this advice.
these payments doesn't appear in "review service fee" or mog station, so my case is still on investigation with SE support.
i don't know why but, according to my mails, they have cancelled then reactivated my services.
now i'm on "to be cancelled"

so i got a response today and it's bad news

basically, they say that these payments they made before my next billing has been refused by my bank.
they ask me to investigate with it.

but, for me, it's unclear why they taxed me (or just attempt to tax me as they say) before next billing for all my accounts

had the same thing, wait 24 hours and try again.

also, i did it through an vpn set to from where i registeren the account to after that 24 hours.

my problem is that SE bill me on 09/29 on all my ffxi/ffxiv accounts, before next billing for some unknown reason
on next billing (early october), automatic payments failed for some unknown reason and all my accounts have been cancelled
(i reactivated my accounts with crista)
now they claim payments made on 09/29 doesn't exist and of course refuse to refund...
