Is Vanadiel flat?
No. I don't recall the exact explanation offhand, but 24 hour days exist specifically because the Earth is round. Having a similar time standard is an inherent sign that it's round. We wouldn't have a horizon, a sunset/rise,seasons and myriad other basic details.
Also we kinda can see it from space/Moon in the Dawn fights. fake new$. vana'diel is flat. if you look out over the horizon while you're on a boat/airship there is NO curvature. wake up sheeple
vanadiel time runs faster, it doesn't have a real 24 hour rythem and the space view could simply be from a top down perspective.
you better go back to debunking bermuda triangle conspiracies cause this one is clearly to big for ya. 'draw-distance,' if you will? checkmate, libtarus. It could be cylindrical... Or square.
I admit I always had thought it was weird that the sun rises and falls at exactly the same time everywhere at the same time.

Even though it offers no economic or strategic value to do so, every country in Vana'diel - including those who hate each other - are all conspiring to tell us it's spherical. If it wasn't flat you wouldn't be able to draw the map on a flat piece of paper, confirmed.
It’s a snow globe.
I read an explanation that the fifth mother crystal engulfed Al’taieu to protect itself and the rest of Vanadiel from the emptiness. That’s why sea has a shimmering sky, you’re in the crystal. When you’re inside the crystal in the Empyreal Paradox, you’re looking at Vanadiel as if you’re outside the crystal- but you’re not. Making it a paradox. It's a disk resting on the backs of four giant Marids which are in turn standing on the shell of a gargantuan space-traveling Adamantoise.
So many opinions!
I am of the opinion that Vana'diel is cubic zirconium within a sphere, within a diamond, and on the outside is the empty. See the TURTLE of enormous girth, upon his shell he holds the EARTH, eh? Guys... flatna'diel is a misinformation spreaded by the Armathrwn Society to obfuscate from the real shape of Vana'Diel
No wonder the bad smell

You can't trust the fossil record, only the sacred writings of Altana found in the Sea of Shu'meyo Scrolls. It's a sphere of infinite radius so the curvature approaches 0.
Per Final Fantasy tradition, Vana'diel is a donut.
