Violent Flourish Useless Nowadays?

I used to go NIN/DNC and use Macc Atmas to solo everything in Abyssea but haven’t used Violent Flourish ever since. I recall Steps to lower targets MEVA then Stun locking TP moves or Agas. Made Kannagi solo back then just cuz /DNC allowed me to + NIN had vast majority of procs for Atma KI.

Anyone able to get such to land on anything meaningful nowadays?
I mean we have a ton of Macc gear nowadays so curious if anyone is actually using such.

Maybe even as main job DNC?
