Remove A Verified Character

Want to remove a second character that I verified from my account, but can't find a way to do it.

You have to unlink it at the bottom in the edit char page of the character you are going to remove.

Make sure you select configure next to the character you want to remove.

Moved from Kujata to Valefor and have now had my characters verified but still can't find where I can delete the Kujata ones.

Looked on Edit Chars page (would be nice if there was a delete button next to the configure one) then went into the actual configure menu for the characters I want to delete but I cant see any "unlink" or "delete" boxes or buttons.

Please Help.

They got rid of the Unlink feature as it's not really necessary.

How to add Friends now? When i do it, my old char on the old server gets the friend added o.0

Go to edit char, click on your new character and check the main character box. Then uncheck the same box for your old character.

That sucks that they removed the possibility to remove a char considering that servers are merging and thus your default char wont update due to it. Unless I've missed on how to change your default char. ^^

I wish there would bring that button back.
I've got 2 caracter and even though I made my new one the main cracter, and even change it to my defult profile, every time I click on my avatar it takes me to Remora.Crawlerbasher page.

Did you uncheck your Remora.Crawlerbasher from being your "Main Character"? Clicking it on your Leviathan doesn't unclick it from elsewhere. I had that issue also.

Yes Remora.Crawlerbasher is unticketed for the main caracter.

Try logout/login if you just made the change? Otherwise I don't know.

We removed the ability to unlink a character because of an order of operations / identity problem.

Unlinking a character effectively orphans it from its parent account, which is permanent if the server goes away due to a merger and can never be re-verified. This includes all of that characters forum posts, screenshots, comments, etc.

If they unlinked the character and then tried to set up a new one, people were finding that all of their past website activity had effectively become orphaned and unassociated with, well, them. And there was no way to undo it, because the original server was now gone.

A "transfer" mechanic to move all of one character's records to another would be far too much work to implement, plus be similarly difficult to verify, as people's character names could have changed as a result of the merger.

so just so i understand this right, if we have multiple characters linked to our ffxiah account, for example Alshandra is my main and i have two alternative characters, and say I no longer have possession of one of the characters, i am now unable to remove that character from my list? absolutely no way whatsoever to just delete it from my list of characters? if so thats kind of annoying, as every time i log on to ffxiah.com ill have a list of characters that i dont actually use or have access to any more. if someone can confirm if this is correct or if im just missing something that would be great, i had been trying to figure out how to do it for a while, cheers

I have a character linked to my FFXIAH account which the real owner has now reclaimed. How may I remove that character?
