(Returning Player) Domain Invasion/Ambuscade

So I came back to FFXI after 6 years and have been trying to figure out the most efficient path to gearing up (I play mostly mage jobs.)
From Domain Invasion points what gear is most useful/lasting (for a Mythic WHM or basic GEO/BLM/SCH/RDM?) I have 1800 points but every time I go to spend them I get a little overwhelmed and hold off. Same dilemma on my 2nd account (MNK). So far the Embla Sash and the boost-regain WS belt for MNK seem highly useful, but many of the other pieces are upgrades, if minor, over what I have now.




In Ambuscade I've collected 10 metals and fibers from last month, but again I hold off upgrading so I don't waste those items.

If it helps, my chars were all endgame min/maxed in 2014 (lol). I have the AF/Relic +1 sets and so far I've picked up the 109 versions of Empy gear. Replacing the non-ilev refresh pieces (serpentes/nares/Spurina) is a priority.

if you got the inyanga set for whm start +2 that, makes great meva and idle refresh with ring.

boost belt is just a meditate-like swap and is nice but not mandatory.

Kusare's advice is sound. Spending your Ambu components to upgrade the Inyanga set will serve your WHM well. Along with the points about refresh and MEVA, the +2 body will fill in your Fast Cast set and the +2 head is great for regen.

For DI points, its really hard to not suggest getting the embla sash first. Beyond that, the healing skill earring will be a nice addition to your cursna set. For your MNK, the Odr Earring is a good piece for Smite WS sets.

The main thing to keep in mind is you can always farm more DI. 80-100 points a day makes it easy to plan when you will see your next piece no matter what you go with first.
