Mastery Rank Data
Sandy needs to lose zones and that does not happen on Asura.
![]() Dinged to rank 9 after completing the final star onion quest "The Promise", which was not the final quest in Windurst for me. This quest granted me my 942th title. Edit: I am actually not sure if I got the rank up from the previous quest and only saw it after I zoned and finished the last one. ROE: 1079 Total titles: 942 - missing titles include: "Mimic Masher", 3 MMM titles, 5 Mog Garden titles, 2 Besieged titles, but mostly missing titles from quests and GP Quests remaining: 35 in Sandy, 42 in Bastok, 39 in Windurst Chocobo digging: Artisan Master trials: finished "Unafraid of the Dark" Odyssey: V25 cleared only on t1s and t2s, V20 on t3 and Bumba Sortie: Never killed Aminon, one Prime at stage 3 Crafting shield: did not start one yet Monstrosity: All unlocked species level 60+ (missing Legendary Manticore) Maze Mongers: Missing a bunch of runes Vorseals: Missing a few here Campaign: Cleared all ops Playtime: 983 days Not sure what else to add, but I still have a long list of things to complete. I will lose my medal of Altana and test how many Monstrosity levels it takes to gain the rank back. Edit: Still no rank up after 125 levels... Monstrosity plan sounds great! I'd love to know for sure how many / which levels it takes.
I'm done aggregating the thread up to this point with what ranks people up. Monstrosity is probably worth a lot of points, but I think it shows up so much in this thread because it's very skippable. Monstrosity is "high value" because it's just EXP
it's like adding another 100 jobs on top of the 22 I'm just glad REMAs aren't part of the list.

The only person that tried to figure out what increases rank in a systematic way was Eiryl and he was hurt by our lack of understanding of the system at the time (e.g. when are rank ups reported?) I assume rema do count they just don't count "a lot"
In a point system they're not 1000 they're like 10 The first one counts a lot, all 50 assaults, 50 nms, clearing half of abbysea, doing 200 coalitions. But the second one is just a second weapon. Batallia doesn't work because the Blm Orc attacking force that is constantly sent to that zone is terrible. Three-eyed Prozpuz is also a big moron in Vunkerl and will MPK himself because of the stupid Bindga and run away AI but luckly all his ranger are still great at single targe dps. Felgarr said: » Ranoutofspace said: » All monsters/instincts/all level 99. It's worth pointing out that the Dragon Quest crossover event now gives a very unique/rare species. This event is only once every 4-5 years so don't miss it! God damn! So even with all of monstrosity done, you still only reach Rank 9? Jeez.....Rank 10 really is unattainable. I have it all done and I'm rank 8! Maybe I'll come back and finish voracious resurgence and get more master levels one day... Ranoutofspace said: » Title 1051: ![]() Only things left are: - Besieged Loss Titles x3 - Master Trial x2 - Ballista x26 The only things left that I can think of: Chocobo Racing: Moved to Windurst for Chocobo Racing in case you need to win in every nation. Campaign Ops: 11 Campaign Ops left but impossible on Asura and will need to server transfer to do but one-way trip currently so not going to do that. Incursion: KI is at 127 currently, can slowly bump that up. Odyssey: MM is now at 41/45. Finishing off the last few NMs I need clears of then comes the very dull Aurum Coffer farming. B/C done, just A remains. Other than those though, I'm not sure what else is left to do in the game. Do you have all shards/souls from active effects Dynamis-D and Sortie as well? All KIs from guild points? Yes to both.
Red String Stuff:
* Use Race Swap to get the Consort Candidate Title. I regret nothing! * ML50 all jobs (not sure how close you are) and cap skills. * Get all Claim Slips (including AF and relic for 20 jobs) * Upgrade all AF/Relic to +4 * Upgrade all Empy to +3 * Get all permanent KIs * Read all KIs, reacquiring temp KIs to read them * Get all PREAMs * All Orchestrion music * All mounts / trusts / sitchairs / job emotes * Floor Aurum costs in each zone, not just getting MM45 * Climb Limbus every week until the tedium wears away your soul and you achieve nirvana. * Get all one-time rewards from furniture. * Repeat all the quests that have variable outcomes until you've achieved all the outcomes. * Repeat every avatar quest until you've accepted every reward. (obv get the Odin title, too) * Unlock everything from the Reisenjima Goblin * Take every meeble mission to 3 stars (although Eiryl said it didn't matter earlier in the thread) * Do all the mini-quests, possibly in multiple ways * Do every BCNM, ENM, etc. * Do every Hunt (the evolith thing) at least once * Do every Garrison The miniquest list is also missing a few things, I think.

No regrets. haha. Bahamut.Zedoma said: » Ranoutofspace said: » Sandy needs to lose zones and that does not happen on Asura. Vunkerl and Eldieme are best zones to force a zone lost. There's bots or something going on, because like clockwork, take a look at where Titon is anytime today and he is always, without fail, trying to wipe the entire Beastmen bar for all San d'Oria areas. It takes days to move the beastmen bar by sniping NPCs one by one, then dumbdumb comes every Sunday and resets the bar in an hour of killing orcs. Dumbest system ever. Odin.Bangla said: » ![]() What is your Limbus max points storable up to in Apollyon and Temenos? Like clockwork, Nogking and Titon going to kill everything in La Vaule without tags to reclaim it before Sunday reset. Every single week.
And also why are there so many hunts, jesus christ. So much effort put into this system that had such lackluster rewards. And also why are there so many hunts, jesus christ. So much effort put into this system that had such lackluster rewards. The evolith system and the weapons/armor it was intended for were only around for a VERY brief period before Abyssea too... so it got forgotten immediately. I think it was a huge waste, there was a lot of potential behind it. The method of augmentation was in SE fashion, overcomplicated, but still cool in some ways with its customization. I like how they allowed you to pigment things too There's also no evidence that the game tracks which Hunts you've completed, which is why it's on my Red String Stuff list. Remember that they added dozens of NMs so that system could be larger, haha. Every time you see a NM you don't remember up randomly in a zone, you kill it, and it has some ***non-NPCable drop, that was actually a NM added for Evoliths.
One thing I'll say about our rank 9s is that they're actually quite a bit more variable than I'd expect if 9 == completion. Bangla, for instance, has only done one Master Trial, which means he's probably done enough other stuff to equal at least 3 Master Trials. I try to think of Mastery Rank as two snapshots of what was important in the game to the devs at two times, when it was released (right around the end of monstrosity) and late last year. I expect it to be skewed towards those things. Evoliths, Pankration, Claim Slips, etc. were all dead systems at those times. Lakshmi.Byrth said: » Evoliths, Pankration, Claim Slips, etc. were all dead systems at those times. I did level a Pankration monster to level cap and have been collecting all seasonal event items on slips / storage npc. But of course there's no proof these count unless someone ranked up from it. Edit: Also stopping the Monstrosity grind, did 125 levels and unlocked a species and got no rank up. Medal of Altana is definitely worth a lot, and there's no evidence that medals under that are worth anything, so it's not too surprising if 125 monstrosity levels isn't enough to tip you over.

I'll try to find out too... ...You guys are about to peel back the curtain on the seedy underbelly of a clandestine operation. I have no idea why they do it, but it could be: Weekly MMO region conquests, translates to Pete Hegseth's actual US Foreign Policy strategy. God, it's worthy of a South Park episode. Whatever it is is probably linked to an infinite Gil exploit like the people that were parked in front of the quest npc in nashmau till it was mentioned and someone figured it out
