Which SoA Ring?

I feel like this is just opening myself up to trolling and abuse but here goes anyway.

I really don't know which Seekers of Adoulin ring to go for. My mains are PUP and WHM. Both rings are respectively BiS.

WHM: at the moment, I don't think I'll miss the cure pot, but the extra enmity down seems nice. Surely a must have for serious WHM?

PUP: usage is even more situational but nothing else comes close, does it?

PUP imo. WHM ring is really just cure potency. With +2 neck and regular Cure set you should be at -50 enmity easily. Cure potency is nice, but nothing game breaking. PUP ring is probably also not game breaking, because you can find alternatives set without it and they are barely worse afaik. Generally the best ring is imo Weatherspoon, but only if you play jobs with light damage WSs like Seraph Blade, Trueflight or Primal Rend. I guess it also has a use for melee WHM if you are into it.

The way I see it, and mind you it may not be right, is that the cure pot II ring is a good option. Keep in mind it doesn't only give cure pot II, with the empy pants, its also a way of decreasing mp costs. I believe cure pot II cap is 30% above the regular 50% cure pot cap.

I'd go with movement+ there's no other 18% for either of those jobs iirc.

I like weatherspoon because many jobs couldn't cap Quick Magic in their Fast Cast sets without it. However, even PUP / WHM rings are only marginal improvements, so I would just pick the Thur. first (PUP) and Janniston Ring (WHM) second.

If you intend to +1 the ring, then I still stand by my statement of Weatherspoon +1.

I don't like the WSD/Regain ring personally. It's just enough of a boost for me.

You can change your mind later and get another one, some are better than others but at the end of the day it's the one you'll get the most use out of (even if it's not the best ring).

While BiS holds some "sway" it is important to remember that if it's sitting in the mog house, it's not serving any purpose.

"Best" is not the best metric for a decision. "How much will I use it", should be.

I chose shneddick for a number of reasons. First was inventory +5 or something like that. Second was some jobs I like only have a 12% option. Third was I don’t have all quests cleared for a +1 ring. If I did, I would probably switch out to something else.

I went with Weatherspoon for light based WS (True flight, flash nova, seraph strike, etc)

It also has fast cast/quick magic as a bonus

It also has macc+13, which is no longer BiS but still a decent alternative if someone wants to save gil.

I took the crafter ring +1.
