I just assumed everything would be uncharmable (like all other ffxi content). So it's quite interesting that you can charm in there. There might legitly be a way do use Bst with familiar + unleash + other Bsts.

why is anyone acting like this is an effective strategy.

jug pets dont have the hp pool, but will kill much faster.
besides he's wasting 1/4 of the run just getting a pet from higher levels.

if you want to go full bst pet party, its easy enough to do with jug pets.

the timer is why charming is not useful here.

if you had a full bst party, it might be effective for crowd control. You can charm 1/2 the normal mobs around a halo, and use the mobs to kill the halo w/out aggro then drop the mobs and move on. however as the level gets higher charm is less effective.

you don't have to understand it, just demand a BST nerf and make sure they have nothing to get excited about. bonus points if you ask for a BLU buff in the same post.
