Hey everyone I just wanted to let you all know I'm making a video series of me tackling different NM's in the world of Vana'diel on solo Ranger and solo Ranger with trusts. I'll also have the occasional team up videos with friends as well. I may live and I may die but it is always a good time.

Yeah Amchuchu owned on that battle! I was definitely surprised as well.

Most of the damage was coming from Trueflight and with that being a magical ws it produces less enmity than physical ws.

actually most fo the damage was coming from Light skillchain and this afaik follows regular enmity rules, so I also was surprised that 80k+ light SC that early in the fight didnt pull hate.

Its been a while since I looked up enmity from skill chains but im sure its reduced for those as well because of it coming from a magical ws.

Afaik it isnt. Same like for example skillchain made from doing Coronach will also pull hate, while Coronach itself generates super low static hate.

I remember like year ago I was also on Kei and we tried RNG doing Trueflight and light strategy. After like 3rd or 4th Trueflight (for like 30k damage and light doing like 70k) RNG pulled hate from real tank (not sure if that was PLD or RUN) and beside those he did close to no damage while getting TP because how Kei works.

Correct. Its the SC dmg that is gonna be the biggest issue. This is where a BRD deploying some Adventurer's Dirge or a SCH's Animus Minuo (if on Kei, as the example above, you'll likely have a SCH!) really helps. Doesn't force any changing of builds or really "giving up" any buffs to make it happen, esp if from a SCH.

And once you start pulling hate from just the SC dmg, its really hard to move past that without using one of a few options. The best is having a THF to take your hate away with Accomplice, then transfer it to the Tank with a nice Trick Attack. Barring that, its gonna need a real break from damage plus scraping the bottom of your tank's barrel on hate tool tricks. Or my favorite hate dissipation tool for something like a RNG kei.....Die!

Die, wipe that hate, and get back up and rebuff to keep pewpew'ing while weak, our greatest asset.

or...you know...SE coulda fixed Decoy Shot to transfer Enmity from WSs and not just white damage.

I always thought decoy shot reduced enmity from WS as well >.>

Is there any reason everyone always pick poor Neak to do solo videos?

He's the easiest of Reisenjima T3 to solo by standard melee/pewpew approach. Yakshi sucks once cordon is up and it goes all Tiiimbeeer on your trusts while Maju requires to land blind on it so I can only see mages jobs able to solo.

I just wanted revenge on all of the times Neak killed my linkshell a few years ago and I just wanted to see if I could do it on Ranger with trusts. It is a lot harder than it looks.
