Stale Security Token, Trying to return
So, its been about 5 years, my token still displays a number but is not being accepted by the square enix account page. Am i totally boned? I can confirm all of my info, please someone give me hope!
SquareEnix account, SquareEnix account password, Playonline account, Playonline password, security token, and answering the riddle of the sphynx is required.
Same thing happened to me once. I had to call and they just questioned me about some of my personal information registered on the account. I think the longest part of it was waiting on hold.

I have 3 different subs on that Square Enix account. Not sure about having the playonline account/password. Thought those were rolled into just using the Square Enix accounts instead? I can confirm OG registration codes, billing address, security token back, and square Enix stuff. I hope that is enough. yea... anyone have a direct link to the square enix support. If it is down then that might explain why i keep getting a circuitous route after going through the options of needing additional support. or their PH#?

Slightly related, but has anyone gone from using the physical token to using the phone app that can give their two cents?

Calling the number or using the digital messaging thing they have on the help website, you can get them to delink the token from your account if you tell them the serial number on the back of the token. I'll call here in a couple hours, just hope the wait time is not for ever. Always have used their online chat option, I have an odd anxiety about phone calls (I'm working on it). Been a few years since I had to use it, email support is another option. Most annoying part is it's business hours PST, if it's after time on a Friday you're boned until Monday, best get it fixed today so you can get your fix, son.

I was thinking that also, good confirmation, uninstall old one 1st, after backing up my windozer settings.
Pretty sure I am using the new installer already, but what I am wondering, is if I should down load that now, at work, cuz it has the bulk of the game with it right? Then from there I can stream the updates? My internet at home is... Meh, we will see if it will allow the game, (I hot spot off my phone). Thoughts?

windower check, installer downloaded from work ,check haha, just clearing up some space on my thumb drive to take it home, might be ingame by this evening! (deleting the old version of full install files.)
god the network security here is... kinda lax, i wonder if i can install the game on my work comp, i doubt it, just a little web machine. but im gonna try!

Call them up and ask for the token to be removed.
