So, the bans were only 3-day bans? That's like a slap on the wrist. Were the ill-begotten gains revoked?
I don't believe in permabans, but under-banning also negates the penalty of banning. The offenders should have had at least a month's ban and fined a percentage of gil based on their total worth on all the mules under their account. Those with multiple accounts under different cards would be able to get around this because there is nothing that links them. But that can't be avoided. So punishment could be either a fine directly debited from credit card or any copyrights penalties. I took my third character from 0 to 99 (whm Maat; f everything else) in a day and lazily took it from 0 to 2100 cp in two days. |
