i want to make a H2H for my mnk
In terms of difficulty/reward, R15 Godhands is probably the best?
The weapon itself is completely cheap, can get it done in a couple of days if you have the beads, from there it's "just" the ~200 mils to get it from R0 to R15. Verethragna you'd need to go through all the stages of Chloris, Ulhuadshi and Dragua. Then 1500 HMPs Then 60 Riftcinders Then 300 Riftborn Boulders Then 10k Riftborn Boulders and THEN the same amount of Detritus to get it from R0 to R15 So if "difficulty/reward" is your personal way to evaluate which weapon to get, then I have no doubts about suggesting Godhands. There is no "best weapon" in ffxi. It's a very relative term. The best weapon is always going to be the one where the user understands how to use it properly for it's given strengths. One where you get the most value out of. A strong weapon in a brainless player is going to suck No matter what.

But, as I mentioned above, there are specific situations where those weapons can shine too, in general it's all gonna be about Vere and GH though. Siren.Sandraa said: » Problem with Vere is way too "annoying" make. Starting with the 2-8 hours NMs camping. Then the abyssea farming without "Multi-box" you will have to merc them to speed up the process. Two-Leaf Chloris bud x50 = at 800k pop 28M Ulhuadshi's fang X50 = another 28M Dragua's Scale x75 = here we go another 40M That has got to be the most reasonable prices i've seen for an empy on this forum ever. You get the biggest bang for your buck with God Hands, R15 or no. Costs about 200mil-250mil if you shell out everything and buy a Merc to do the clears for you. Add in a bit more if you don't have Dyna clear.
SU5 weapon comes a close second if you don't care about r15 and Max out your mnk. Costs roughly 150-170mil. Glanz and vere are probably the most expensive you can shell out for what they do. They both would cost you 350-450mil. I wouldn't sell a Chloris pop for under 2.5M tbh. *** that ain't worth it.
Verethragna will be best for 3 out of 5 minutes and Godhands for the other 2, so if you make only one, make Veret. If you don't plan on R15ing them, just make Godhands or Karambit.
The only really important thing though is that once you pick one, and "finally made vereth" you make a thread about it. I'm sure many ppl are counting on that. Asura people are shouting to sell chloris for 2mil each lol. Looking more at 100mil You know the MNK bandwagon is official when Vize’s on board! Saw him buying some shards on the AH and was like ok it’s official
To answer your question though, there isn’t really a clear cut answer of which is “best”. You have to factor in impetus up/down, footwork, and a lot of factors. It’s not like let’s say WAR where Chango is clearly #1 by a mile. If you look at the MNK Forum, you’ll find a lot of sets posted and discussion about the recent update, I’d look there. Offline

I was thinking to make a guide for MNK that is so complicated and confused to watch, that maybe some people would get out of the train :D
Nah bruh, I'm ridin' the bandwagon so high I'm karate choppin' stuff while doing the VS animation.
Jokes aside, I've always had Spharai and Master MNK, just haven't really considered all the min/maxing on monk for a long time, and now it's time to do it since its fun again! Offline

Go out there and bare knuckle box. Offline

Same, was a Main and JP Mastered right up til SE revamped the WSs making almost every weapon Super-Powered except H2H... now that that’s in a good spot again, MNK is fun again and back in full rotation. Protip: The meta has changed so many times over the past decade that any consistant player will have touched the current flavor of the month job before. It doesn't make it less bandwagony to pick it up the minute it's top dog again.
Not that there's anything wrong with bandwagoning anyway, it's what keeps this game going.
