The offhand preference for the daggers still favors Twashter and Mpu Gandring. Terpsichore pairs best with gleti's knife since pyrrhic kleos has no tp scaling, whereas the others pair with centovente. Pyrrhic is weaker than rudra's and ruthless, and even with terpsi's bonuses it still lags behind. I've played around with terpsichore on gartell multiple times, but twashtar just ended up being better to the point I stopped bothering with terpsi. Even if pyrrhic always had two extra swings it still wouldn't have caught up, although I admit it would have been closer.

While I enjoy playing around with my terpsichore I always advise people to prioritize mpu gandring first and twashar second. Terpsicore is third in line for dancer's REMA dagger choices, and the amount of effort it takes to get it is comparable to the other options.

Ampulla is awesome on DNC as well and coming down rapidly in price. One of the best jobs for Ampulla if you can stomach the gil sink.

Won't disagree with that, and really its not exactly a great argument to say mythic may keep pace if you dont mind a perpetual money dump via ampulla, just thought kicking the ws up to a baseline 7 hits at 2.5~/hit where 5 of those hits are at 99% acc cap/2 95% should do amazing for something you can just drop at 1k, striking making 2 of those hits +1.08~(likely using emp head so +1.39 atleast?) should make it very respectable imo

That sounds about right to me, except that the ideal offhand for Terpsi is a reforged Air Knife :P

PK was undermined heavily by the glut of WSD they released in the last few years. 1.85*7 fTP (2x DA) is 12.95 fTP with 40% STR/DEX mods at 1000TP, plus a 40% damage boost from Terpsi.

Rudra's with Moonshade and Centovente is about 14 fTP (2x DA) with 80% DEX (and +10% damage from Augment), but most of the damage (11 fTP) is affected by WSD and the first-hit WS acc boost. Also, belt slot is free. Also, CF Rudra's is super powerful so you're going to be using that anyway with PK (but won't have Centovente).

They'd be pretty comparable if we weren't running 60-80% WSD.

Im running with r15 terp so wouldnt that be 2.5(1.75ftp x 49% r15 combined bonus) x 7? So 17.5 before striking. Maybe i'd been incorporating the specific wsd wrong when i just do blanket comparisons Can't read when i first wake up.

In some cases I think aria mighta been too much, least then i could say high end PK would have a nice PDL lead, wheras RS is focusing more on WSD in any slot it can be with some exceptions, but aria just gives it a nice dump of native PDL ontop of the aforementioned WSD stacking

It's the same reason that fast blade II ended up disappointing some people. When the mog bonanza weapons first came out there was a lot of hype for the onion sword, especially for dancer since it has no slashing options otherwise. Fast Blade II has some nice stat mods to it, but it's a two hit weaponskill so only one hit gets the WSD. That ended up hurting it badly. It's still a fine weaponskill of course, but we know today that fast blade II lags well behind savage blade whereas initially it was thought it might actually be stronger. We are in a meta dominated by all the savage blades of the game. Primes, savage blade, rudra's, judgment, etc are just better because we're toting around 80+ WSD. And every job can hit that threshold because Nyame, cornelia's ring, and the 3 WSD +12 JSE pieces each class gets are a universal constant. Centovente just seals the deal here because the synergy is overwhelming.

In order for Terpsichore to be able to compete with Mpu Gandring or Twashtar on even footing they would have to revamp the formula for multi hit weaponskills. They would all need to be closer to what Monk's raging fists, howling fists, tornado kick and dragon kock are. There is a reason that monk performs very well despite not utilizing WSD effectively. When they revamped H2H weaponskills they made monk's multi hits vastly better than every other classes. Pyrrhic Kleos could easily be top tier viable if they gave it a similar pass, but unless that happens it's stuck well behind rudra's and ruthless.

Forgive me if the question is stupid, but would you still use Climatic stacked with PK (if you were to use it) or would you get better results from an alternative Flourish III?

Climactic doesn't do squat for pyrrhic for the same reason WSD doesn't impact it much. It only affects the first hit. Striking flourish when equipped with our empyrean body is the best flourish III to stack with pyrrhic kleos, but pyrrhic kleos is only remotely viable if you're actually mainhanding terpsichore. And even then, you're still better off just saving up for 2500+ effective TP and stacking climactic with rudra's storm. That's trivial with mythic aftermath up. I don't bother with striking OR ternary flourish when I'm maining terpsicore. Climactic rudra's is just THAT much better of a use of my finisher III.

If you aren't mainhanding terpsichore then Pyrrhic kleos isn't even worth your time. Use rudra's storm and offhand centovente. It doesn't matter what you're mainhanding at that point. Whether it be Ternion knife +1, Jugo Kukri +1, Air knife, or even skinflayer, pyrrhic kleos is not worth spamming without terpsichore's 50% damage bonus. That's the only thing that makes it competitive when you're wielding the mythic, and even then it falls short of rudra's and ruthless with twash or mpu.
