So for the last few weeks this has been happening. Did normal fixes but stil happens randomly. I will say it seems to happen a lot when I’m afk. Luckily, I do not have a to sign back in but I can’t figure why it’s been happening. Any suggestions or old posts with help would be great. Also checked with internet company no issues let alone Netflix ps4 everything else working just fine.
Run a long ping to the ffxi server, or a network analysis for packet loss.
More modern games and streaming services won't be as upset over a couple lost packets, they'll be resent before you even notice. FFXI can disconnect you over just a couple lost packets.

I got this 2 times in the last day.
Ive been having this happen recently, something that hasn't been happening, and event viewer is displaying this error report:
Would removing the luacore.dll and having windower reload it possibly fix this issue?

Yea every time my char seems to be idle for extended periods of time I get this error.
What is even stranger is sometimes it will be both characters, and sometimes it will only be one while the other is unaffected.

Ok so now I keep randomly getting this error as well lol. It doesn't actually kick you out of the game, it just takes you back to the login screen weirdly.
Has anyone found out the cause? Or solution. I've been getting it multiple times a day too.
i had this issue earlier this month, i found out it was my ISP blocking ports, i had to setup port forwarding and it fixed my issues

Do you need to purchase anything for this to work? I'm getting error 4001 and pol-2059 quite often these past few weeks.

I'm wondering the same thing. Almost every time I play, I keep getting this stupid Error at least once -> force quits me -> log back in -> good for rest of play time. It's super weird.
Port forwarding seems to have fixed it for me. 3 days now without a r0.
Hmm so I tried the port forwarding on all the ports SE has listed and im still getting R0 4001 does anyone eles have a work around they've tried?

Port forwarding will not solve ISP blocked ports. It is not likely that it is solving this either, as you're losing an established connection not failing to establish it. Placebo all day, it's most likely a problem on SE's end or an intermediary node.

Ya and what's weird is I'll have 2 chars running and only 1 will dc lol
A friend had the same issue and port forwarding fixed it.

I'm having this happen every day to just one character, no idea what it is. Either 4001 or 2050 and it kicks me to character select screen sometimes, or back to POL.
vpn will fix your problem. It fixed mine.

Did the whole thing just implode (playonline.com won't open either) or is it just my turn to have problems.
Nah, every server just went (mostly) down. Less than 20% of my chars are still online and red dots everywhere.
Seems like all of asura just got it.

Yeah, Error 0011 in the middle of a Tenzen HTMB. I'm barely able to log into POL, let alone even try to do the XI step afterwards.
Apparently FFXIV too, maybe a prob at the data center.
