Got to Iroha after killing all adds. Only got to around 80% after dying multiple times .-.

What was killing you? AoE? Does she have the same HP as phase 1 Iroha?

Same, just got to her as well. took to About 83% before She killed everyone. She has 5-6mil HP. Aegis is required it seems. Our RUN (me) got bopped.

For our RUN, 3 step Light--->fire 6 MB for 3600 with Full DT set on and Capped Phalanx barring DM augments.

You definitely need shadows for Iroha to trivialize her multi-sc if going RUN.[she does it constantly, even with upgraded Paralyze and Slow]

And again "Ranged" setup seems the default here, her DT is supper annoying... there must be a faster way to kill them all without timing out.

If you see 2 steps, is it at all possible to "break" her SC by kiting? Or does it not matter -- like how Goblins could still hit my *** at full chase while I am running scared to zone back in the days of PTs in the dunes?

Haven't tried, but all the mobs in there have insanely fast run speed, so I doubt that would work consistently.

If gravity is on you can break her SC, my sch was able to stick gravity and kite her+reapply stoneskin, get hit by tp move, run away, stoneskin, repeat for a few minutes while recovering from a wipe.

It might be pertinent to some elemental/WS weakness cycle gimmick (worth looking into it?) or it might be just a zone thing, I think it happens like that in the final RoV BC (which is the same arena)

What composition are you using? From Papaesse~

Like in Dynamis Divergence, they take reduced damage from repeatedly using the same WS/BP/nuke. The nerf potency has 5 stages (for BPs/nukes at least): 100%, -10%, -25%, -40%, -60%. They have DT-50%~ too.

My logs concur with this. Not sure if there is another DT mechanic.

Is this -DT individually based or over all for the party?

You can see the base damage just above 8k, the 10% resist is the most common at around 7.2k, and the 25% resist sometimes happening at 6k.

RUN BRD (me), COR COR DNC WHM

Kill order is Iroha 1 > Lion > Arciela > Lilisette > Prishe > Nashmeira > Iroha II

We had outside BRD SMN SCH in the beginning to help out..
Outside BRD did SV Minuet 5-3, Honor March
The second BRD did Light carol x2, scherzo, minuet2 (not soul voice)
SMN did Crystal Blessing/Hastega II
SCH did Voidstorm II/Embrava(pointless kinda)

On Iroha I, we started off with Armor break, Dark Threnody II then this 6-step SC:
Leaden > Savage > Rudra > Last stand > Leaden > Rudra
Used Tenebrae Gambit/Rayke > Random deal x1-2 > reapply Gambit/Rayke

Once other girls showed up, BRD did Preludex2 for the CORs, who attacked from afar while we fought Lion and did this SC:
Last stand (fomalhaut) > Leaden (death penalty) > Rudra > Wildfire (Umbra)

BRD just sat next to the DNC and sang Madrigals/Honor over and over everytime Lion did the dispelga move. Majority of dmg comes from Leaden / Gravitation / Umbra here.

Lion should die before other girls wake up.

Once Lion is dead, BRD can then use Soul voice + clarion call and sing Honor March, Madrigal, Minuet5-4 and Fire Carol 1
WHM should do barfire / baramnesra so you can resist Arciela's amnesia move.
As soon as BRD does Soul voice, CORs should use Wild Card to attempt to restore it back.
From this point onwards, all DD should maintain the 5 songs from clarion call.

Fight Arciela using the same skillchain on Iroha 1, and continue using this same SC on other girls in the kill order mentioned.
RUN used Armor Break, Tenebrae Gambit/Rayke whenever its ready, BRD kept Dark Threnody II on, WHM did frazzle and impact whenever he got the chance.

Soul voice songs should wear as you engage Nashmeira, at which point we choose to continue using normal songs until we engaged Iroha II.

We fought Iroha II many times, and without GEO, we concluded that these are the ideal buffs necessary to survive:

if Soul Voice is up, use Honor March, Madrigal, Minuet 5-4, Light Carol 1, Magus roll
if Soul Voice isn't up, use Honor March, Madrigal, Minuet 5, Light Carol 1, Scherzo, Magus roll

CORs had the new Lanun Knife (-16 DT with 4 rolls) in addition to -10 MDT ambuscade cape to maintain -26 MDT at all times (including ws time)

We had BRD and WHM sit close by to reduce the damage from Firaja. She likes using Firaja > Amatsu: Fuga to kill someone.

RUN must use Tenebrae x3 Valiance for the DD, when that wears off, use One for All. Use Gambit/Rayke before swapping back to to Unda x3 and Vallation to survive the Fire 6 M.bursts.

She alternates between M.def down / and Dia aura as mentioned in this thread before. RUN tank must maintain Barfire / Fire Carols x2 / Unda x3 / Vallation at all costs when M.def down aura is up.
If Dia Aura is up, it is actually safer to swap to dark runes and apply Valiance and Gambit/Rayke.

RUN can save SP / SP2 for whenever he is caught in dark runes or missing Shell or Carols while M.def down aura is up.

In the run we won, we had soul voice restored 3 times successfully, so we had soul voice for the entirety of fight time with Iroha II (32min). Despite that, DNC ended up pulling hate and dying at 10%~ and then RUN got one shotted, so we had to sleep her and wait 3mins for weakness, that is why I think with this strategy you need at least 2 successful soul voice restores if no other mistakes occur.

That's pretty hilarious. Went from one of the hardest MTs to one of the easiest if you can just bypass all the adds.

Allows you to more realistically maintain SV songs for the entire Iroha v2 fight without relying on ridiculous amounts of luck with multiple WC resets or outside buffs which trivializes surviving her attacks for DDs.

PLD makes sense because Aegis would make you invincible to her magic bursts even if the tank's carols get dispelled.

BRD/BLM can literally keep adds asleep for 1 hr straight between NT/ES and COR resets.

Makes me wonder how many other MT you can ignore the adds in. Has anyone actually tried only killing Shadow Lord first or Alex/Odin while ignoring Valks?

I'm pretty sure this is the only Master trial that can be bypassed like this.

Alexander in MT1 had a healing mechanic to it when adds are up iirc - I remember people had trouble dealing enough damage to it before it healed itself back up.

In MT2, Shadowlord is often times killed 3rd with the Quadav last.
