I'm trying to config my 360 controller with FFXI. I got to the option where it says "Operate menus with movement controls. Is there a way I can use the d-pad for this option?

If you mean wired 360 controller on your computer just download xbcd driver. You can map all the buttons the same way they were on xbox360.
