Anyone noticed any bugs with the dropping of Diorite?

We use to be able to get 1 maybe 2 drops a night now it takes us about 3 runs just to get one. Is this a bug from SE or just stubborn drops?

SOOO glad I don't have to do that anymore!

Anyway, it's all luck. I have gone literally 4 night of farming (roughly 16 hours) with nothing then the next day we get 3.

Was starting to think the same.

The last month we have only gotten 1 water and 2 diorite. for the entire month. when we can normally get 5-8 of each a month without a hitch.

Really bad luck on our part I guess.

While they aren't too hard to solo for a decently geared BLM, there will always be that one statue that resists everything=/ They can be *** sometimes. Probably easier for RDM.

Also, if you are solo you don't have TH.

I'd vouche for that. Even with 8/8 enfeebling those things will resist a gravity every once in a blue moon on my BLM. =\

There isn't that "one statue" who resists everything if you have an enfeebling set.

My enfeebling magic skill with my set is at 294.

If that statue resists a Sleep II, it won't resist a Sleepga II...

Your enfeebling set is what saves you...

Yeah I know. My enfeebling set and 8/8 enfeebling merits fails hard.

My enfeebling set looks simular, except:

I use stole instead of torque.
I use Snow Ring/Omega Ring instead of your rings.
I use Phantom Earring instead of your Novio (I always will keep Phantom JUST for enfeebling).
I use Witch Sash instead of Rope.
I use Ixion Cape instead of Prism.

And I rarely get resisted.

I've doued / trioed chain 6 on Aura Statues with RDM BLM BLM. I have found that TH doesn't really affect the drop that much but thats just my experience. It seems to be all luck, I have been there for 12 consecutive hours w/o seeing a single diorite and the next day kill for about 15 mins and get 1. I have also killed Ullikummi then right after decide to kill 2 monsters and it drop on the 2nd kill I mean its sorta like Kraken Club BCNM. You can go 0/50 or some bull crap and your friend and other people go 1/1. I feel your pain but I hope you and your linkshell have some better luck. Have fun~

its just as quick to solo dios as it is to sit around and wait for a solo rdm to wipe to his pop and steal it!

Because of limited inventory space. If I ever get around to doing limbus I'll hq body and hands and request/store the rest.

I know I'm a little late to this, but Diorite has always sucked and is just pure luck based. I used to duo Aura's near Nexus for outside farming points as WAR and RDM, and drops just weren't that great most of the time. I remember once we went a good 8 hours (2 hours a day for four seperate days) without a drop. Then we FINALLY get one, and she goes to tele us out, and aggro's another statue. We kill it and a second drops.

Moral of the story: Diorites are not bugged. They just suck something fierce.

Diorites don't exist! They are a myth! Like Unicorns... and blonde virgins. Also, women on the internet -.- ... /poke Aly

But in reality, the drop rates just suck bad. I've seen 3 in the same treasure pool once, and another time I've been up there for 6 hours, no drop. (did make a few thousand gil in mythril ingots...)

Soloing is risky up there. There is always the risk of a resist. Even as RDM, you can get a resist (It happens. It's come to be known as Square's Law. If SE can find a way to kill you, they will). HOWEVER, you have a saving grace... use your environment. Sharp corners are your friends. You can put enough distance between you and the golem to safely get off a sleep or gravity.

Even making soloing safer up there, you're still likely in for a long night, or several long nights.

Good luck.

If a Galka dies, your chance of a drop increases 10x. True story, Galka BLM died and we got Diorite on 3 of next 4 statues.

I'd believe it. It seems at least 4 BLM tarus have to die each dynamis before we see armor drops, and 4 taru = 1 galka... and they are all BLM. Makes sense to me!

/em puts the "factual" info on wiki.
