any reason to do D over VD1? i see top end groups just spamming D when id imagine VD cant be much harder and is substantially more per run.

The effort:reward ratio

Less work, easier to recover from mistakes, more marks per hour.

Do VD once with seals, but spam D... matter of fact don't do vd at all *shrug*

Seeing as you get 7 seals a month? thats 75k hallmarks right there, not much other reason I can see, 7 runs vs like 30 on D if no seal..... or double w/ seals for 14 runs. the vd would literally have to take double the time which im not seeing reported.

Does VD have some gimmick i over saw?

Will the second wave spawn if you leave one from the first alive?

I know when I did a fast VE it only made one add, never a second since I didn't kill it, but would that work on other tiers. Or would it just replace the killed ones instead of a full wave.

IE: kill 4/5 > will second wave appear with 5? with 4? or no wave?
The ones that were killed will respawn

and some people might not know how to mitigate the VD drain move and might be sucking up their time

If your group can't handle doing VD then you should stick to D. It's not worth struggling and dying for more points. This month's VD Intense looks much easier than last month's though.

Anyone know how many adds spawn on Vol. 1 Normal? I've looked through the thread and couldn't find anything specific.

4 spawn on D so I'm guessing subtract 1 for N (in each wave), but I'm not 100% on that.

I was trying to determine feasability of sleeps (before was documented). I went into VD as bard/sch solo. Ended up with trusts meleeing it to 80% before adds popped and killed me.

Below 1400 acc it felt as if I could barely touch it. I want to say I was around 1420ish before I got an acceptable (not capped though) acc hit rate.

Thanks Sammeh. I assume you mean for VD? Because 1420ish for D sounds a bit too high.

The difference between 1400 and 1420 acc is 10% hit rate, which isn't distinguishable by eyeballs unless your at 5% to start with. D is probably around 1300~1350 because it actually changes, the second wave of adds have considerably more evasion then the first.

Sounds like it would be 10% distinguishable.

How do you even get that kind of accuracy?
That's not that much accuracy at all if he has any acc buffs, and not unreachable with just gear/food, either. My DRK's highest ACC set has about 1475 acc with only sushi.

It's certainly reachable just kind of a lot to call midacc unless you assume a lot of buffs

That's about what my standard mid acc set (no relic weapon) hits with just a good Madrigal and Sushi (~1240 base, ~105 from sushi, ~100-110 from Madrigal), and I'm a DRK.

My gear is admittedly very solid, but I'm sure it's doesn't need as much for jobs with better acc gifts or traits.

1247 base acc in midacc is pretty standard for blu's, only nature's set as acc trait. Rest from buffs/food. Trying to hit in lowacc 1149 base is huge loss in dps.
Can reach that with base but why bother when support jobs exits.
