Mecistopins Cape not working
So I recently got one of the CP+ capes from incursion, got 50%+ on it. Went out to test it and it doesnt seem to be working, is there some kind of trick to it? Im getting 1.1kCP per mob with and without it. No chains or anything for boosted EXP. Anyone got any ideas?

Could be since the CP campaign is going on it broke? Which mobs were you killing also? Im messin around just outside Adoulin. Ive fought different mobs in different zones and no bonus from the cape. Im wondering if theres a cap on CP bonuses? Like, if i have all the CP+ Key items then gear wont have any affect?

also what have you done in game on your character like Original Missions for Starter towns CoP Zilart WotG WG, how about all or any reaves? Lots of thingies give you + CP bonus Did you get the vana clock from red box and put it in MH? Do u have any extra CP+ stuff on in gear (Rings) Cor rolls? Im getting exactly 1187 from each kill, with and without the cape
I have the clock, i have kupofreid out and i have the cape on, no ring. zilart, cop, toau, rhapsodies all done, windy10, sandy and bastok not done and ive only done a few normal reieve RoE and all the WKR ones. No rolls are on. Im at 2000JPs on DRK so all the corrosponding CP bonuses from that. If you're using gearswap, make sure to lock your back piece.
//gs disable back Are you swapping gear during the fights at all? If so is any of it automated or are you making sure the piece in question is on and off during time of kill?
There is no gear swapping at all, that would be a pretty stupid and simple mistake to make >.> i dont use gearswap or anything like that, when i change gear its cuz ive hit a macro to do so.
Welp, I have to agree with Tuvae, cape's definitely not working on my end either. Just tried it with my 49% mantle, didn't pay attention to values before reading this, but it's for sure not calculating CP mobs correctly. Opening coffers from the BCNM event is working though.
I have 47% mantle and it seems to be working just fine. I did some testing on some escha mobs and some apex bats if that helps with anything.
I'm getting ~5% difference in Reisenjima and Omen mobs. I know the Treasure Coffers are working because I go from 22k CP to 33k CP.
Note that Mecistopins Mantle is additive with Gift and RoE CP bonuses, so you're going to see much lower values than the cape says.
For example, if you have +400% CP from RoEs and Gifts, then a 50% Mantle will actually only increase your CP gained by (550%)/(500%) = +10%. I never paid attention to the values until reading this thread and going WTF at my own numbers not making sense of it. Thanks for the math on that! There is supposed to be a scaling bonus to capacity/unity points, with the highest going to the unity in last place.
be aware mecistopin cape enhances the base CP amount, its added to the already exsisting que of percentage quantity gained from quests,missions,RoE,RoV,Gear,Enhancements,etc,etc.
example is if you get 250 CP, and you have 50% from quests/RoE, 50% from cape, 200% from RoV alone. that is added together 50+50+200 =300%, you then multiply the initial CP gained which is 250 in this case, and you'll get 750 CP, a further example is if you didn't have the cape on you'd get 625., it doesn't seem like much, but when you calculate from a higher stance (after fighting enough mobs to gain 10,000cp without enhancements, you'd get 30750 CP with the cape and 25000 without the cape |
