Let's see if someone is generous enough to be willing to share the camps he knows.
I'm sure we all know all the different Apex Crabs, Pugils, Bats and mixed camps in Dho Gates.
I also know a few more camps.

Mho Gates
In the Apex section of the map (zone from Morimar Frontier Station, then go south and proceed east after the first Reive) there's 2x Crawlers Camps.
Their Slow effect doesn't overwrite Haste, I find them to be particularly good for DD-based setups. Alas only 2 camps.
South of that there's a camp with Apex Efts. That's somewhat viable but it requires pt setup that doesn't rely too much on dispellable buffs (bye bye COR! Bye bye BRD!) because they dispel a lot and it's annoying. Also somewhat dangerous AoE attack. Sorta viable still, but not as good as the previous options.


Anybody else know of other good camps and willing to share? :D

lists all Apex camps with their respective levels.
Personally, I like the Bat camp in outer Ra'Kaznar most for any kind of setup. They arent as terribly evasive as one might think (might still want a geo for ppl with low JP) and they give a lot more exp than crawlers for example. Down side is just it takes ages to get there so dont do it with a pick up group where you ll end up having to replace members every half an hour. But with a set group that plans to stay for 1.5-2h at least might be worth traveling there.

A good thing I personally love about the crabs camp is that you don't really need a healer. Any PUG /WHM can heal, or a SCH can land Regen5 and forget about it, and that's even without DDs playing defensively or using DT etc.
There's nothing to erase, nothing to care about, it gives additional flexibility in the jobs setup and makes the CP very relaxing.
Other camps force you to erase stuff (att down from bats for instance) and have mobs that kinda require some real healing on DDs.

I can't find it but Ruaumoko made a nice video about whm melee on apex bats.
A. Misery, cura spells for cures, esuna for aoe debuffs, and Starlight/Moonlight for mp restore.

Would be nice to have a list of nice spots where you can go in Escha/Reisen as well. I guess cleaving there is still viable for some jobs?

Haste1 with sufficient skill won't be overwritten.

With 500+ skill, even the apex pugil can't overwrite Haste 1

Oh interesting! Didnt know its skilled based. Always thought its potency based. So there is a point in stacking enhanc. skill when you cast haste even if the potency doesnt change.

I've been in love with WHM melee since the old days of KRT MNKburn pts, but alas you don't find many DD WHMs around anymore ^^'
