Current Cure and Cursna sets
Greetings ffxi community. I'm looking to perfect my SCH sets and have been making my own 50% 500+ skill sets, but what is everybody using? What are some max sets? I've scrolled through many of the SCH guides, but a lot has not been updated. Thanks in advance for any input.
I can share with you my selfish 50% Cure Potency, 3% Cure Potency II, 30% Cure recieved set:
ItemSet 335550 - No Weather - No Weapon switch - Cure IVs my own Taru Butt for 1193 in Dark Arts and 1248 in Light Arts Hat: Cure Potency +6% (overcapped, could be 4%) Body: Path D (5% Cure Potency) Hands: Cure Effect Recieved 7% (overcapped could be less) Legs: Cure Effect Recieved 7% (overcapped could be less) Feet: Path B (20 Healing Skill) I'm sure you could move some stuff around with Academic's pants +3 and Augmenting some different slots etc. This is currently what I'm using.
Please let me know where improvements could be made. No Weather Cure ItemSet 351155 Vanya: Path B Kaykaus: Path D Light Arts Active~ Healing Magic Skill: 554 Cure Potency: 51% MND+132 Cursna ItemSet 351156 Vanya: Path B Kaykaus: Path A Light Arts Active~ Healing Magic Skill: 534 Insta Cast: +6% Thank you! ![]() I would love some feedback on my cure set currently. I just gathered these pieces as they were easy to farm for me.
ItemSet 351799 Vanya Hood - Path B Vanya Robe - Path B Vanya Cuffs - Path B Vanya Slops - Path B Vanya Clogs - Path D Serenity has -7% cast time +2% extra Cure Potency I have the following bonus stats with this gear: Cure Potency: 62 (12 over cap) Cure Cast Time: -53% Conserve MP: 20 Healing Skill+: 102 -Enmity: 17 MND+: 178 What should I change/improve on? Belt/range/ear I am still lacking. Probably have a MND earring sitting around somewhere... ![]() Why don't these sets us the Chatoyant, Twilight cape, or obi? Is that practice outdated now?
I too would like to see what scholars are using for cure sets these days. Ragnarok.Blindphleb said: » Why don't these sets us the Chatoyant, Twilight cape, or obi? Is that practice outdated now? Head/Legs/Feet: Path A Body: D @master w/ light arts: 501 healing skill for tranquil heart. haste +24% Cure Potency +50(52) Cure Potency II+20 w/ Aurastorm II weather bonus +40% (Cap) Enmity -42 (easily cap w/ animus minuo) Conserve MP +14 ItemSet 363492 Master SCH, path B Vanya. Haste +25% Healing skill = 607 Doom removal = 51% Thanks, Chimera. Those look like great sets to work towards, but for designing stop gap sets, what would you suggest the stat priority be? After capping cure potency, should the priority be skill, mnd, or -enmity?
For cures I would go Cure Potency > Healing skill (aim for 500) then > MND/Enmity - in free slots.
For Cursna you want Healing skill and Cursna + gear as these are the only things which effect doom/curse removal. Other than the person receiving it having cursna received gear on. Likely a bit of each. You'll want skill the most for base power of your cures. MND to a lesser extent, and enmity- will keep you from pulling hate when a real tank isn't there and DD for some reason don't have good hybrid sets.
edit: I for sure messed up somewhere the day I wrote that. ![]() Chimerawizard said: » Likely a bit of each. You'll want skill the most for base power of your cures. Noticed I went overboard with power, by assuming I'd need path A for Kaykaus. Going to edit set & post. Elvaan SCH/RDM @99 Mnd: 91 Vit: 83 Merits: +15mnd/vit Gear Mnd: 152 Gear Vit: 96 Skill: 501 Thus power would be: floor((91+15+152)/2)+floor((83+15+96)/4)+501= 678 cure power We would need 22 skill or 44 mnd or 88 vit to cap it. Something like this: ItemSet 365430 Pros: doesn't require mission rewards like Janniston or Magnetic Negatives: missing out on +13 conserve MP, 5% cure potency II, and 2% quickmagic. Ultimately the cure potency on Janniston alone would make up for missing out on 22 cure power. The set I posted might be a good option if you picked a different ring/earring though. Went back; dunno where i messed up. I could swear I was overcap by like 50 power.
Tarutaru master SCH99/RDM49 full merits ItemSet 338349 VIT: 92 +96 MND: 98 +198 Skill: 456 +45 merits are included in base; made sure by blowing 18 merits to delevel one and relevel it. 501+floor((92+96)/4)+floor((98+198)/2)=696 Not cap even with 3/4 path A & a regal earing. I personally like the Lebeche ring because it's an enmity piece while providing the 1% cure potency needed to cap as well. it's a midcast set so quick cast ... does that still work for recast in a midcast set? For non-Janniston ring set, I'd swap to stikini+1 & the regal earring for Domesticator's. Luckily as an Elvaan, if I didn't mess up the math, 3/4 path A & a regal earring cap my cure power. Then I can swap to a Kuchekula Ring if I don't pick Janniston.
I agree the Lebeche Ring is nice for the enmity and cure potency. It's a shame we can't fit in much conserve MP with this set. I liked that about your old set. |
