I ran into this problem recently, turned out one of the Microsoft Frameworks that Windower relied on was removed from my system for whatever reason. Did you try reinstalling Windower?

@ Jetckuu: I tried to undo the update. Windows said the files needed have been removed from my computer.

@ Diavos: Yes right before I made this post.

Then do a system restore point, if that doesn't work then get out your Windows installation disc, and prep for long updates. Probably not a great idea to be enrolled in the test builds of Windows 10 if you want a stable system.

edit: not trying to be a jackwaggon, but there's been known instances of this for some time.

I've had no troubles with a clean Windows 10 build 10240 install so far, so there's nothing inherently incompatible with Windows 10. If you do an upgrade install, and are having problems there's a good chance you'll need to uninstall/reinstall PlayOnline Viewer and Final Fantasy XI. If you've already done this, or did a clean install, please post crash dumps, so we can look into what may be causing the problems, but it's very likely that this is going to be Windows 8 all over again. Sometimes it just doesn't work, and we don't know why.
