Hey all,
Was wondering if anyone had tips on 3manning Vagary, in terms of desired jobs the players should be for Hands, Legs, and Feet. Can fill support rolls with trusts.
Or if it's not possible, then it's not possible hahaha.
:)
Thanks!

Made a short post on how I triple box all the zones about a month and a half ago.
Edit: Since this thread's topic is Vagary trio'ing, I'll just go ahead and expand on the way I go about doing it here.
Setup: BLU/THF GEO/RDM WHM/SCH Amchuchu KingofHearts Qultada
Brash Gate/Amorph Zone:
Tenebral Crush, Spectral Floe and Anvil Lightning are my cleaving spells of choice. Bubbles I use for cleaving are Malaise and Refresh. WHM keeps Accession Regen IV up, BLU keeps up Occultation/Cocoon/Barrier Tusk/Battery Charge/Carcharian Verve. If Verve's Aquaveil effect wears off before Unbridled Learning's recast is up, WHM does Accession Aquaveil. Mobs hit hard, so stay in PDT/Movement gear when gathering mobs to cleave.
Acuex NM: Vex/Malaise. WHM does Barfira for En-Amnesia resistance and Hailstorms the GEO. BLU opens Darkness and MB with Blizzard/Spectral Floe. Should die in 2 SCs.
Slime NM: Upon pop, GEO pulls NM away with Paralyze into a corner to avoid knockback and the WHM and BLU take out the adds that pop along with it as usual. Wilt/Blaze Frailty/Entrust Attunement. Diffusion Mighty Guard; just use Unbridled Wisdom if Unbridled Learning is down from Verve usage. Baraera/Barsilencera are my barspells of choice. Reapply BLU defensive buffs as necessary including Accession Regen IV, etc.. WHM applies Addle/Silence while waiting on the BLU to get ready. You can auto-attack it to death like most people like to do, but I prefer to zerg it down without any regard of Cytokinesis splits. Sudden Lunge it when you're able to prevent too many Cytokinesis' at once. When too many adds are out, a good Spectral Floe will 1-shot all or most of them. Pair with Burst Affinity if it's up for insurance. WHM will need to be on top of Curaga spam if handling the slime NM this way.
Boss: Pretty simple. Pull away into a corner. Vex/Blaze Frailty. Tenebral Crush for the Defense Down as well; this boss has a large amount of defense. Barwatera and Curaga spam.
Average clear time after practice is about 25 minutes; large variance due to luck of pillars.
Deathborne Gate/Fomor Zone: Searing Tempest, Anvil Lightning and Silent Storm are my cleaving spells of choice for this zone. Fomors will greatly resist Tenebral Crush and Spectral Floe, unfortunately.
First wave: Buff up and all that good stuff before entering including Carcharian Verve. Boost-INT and Accession Regen IV. GEO does Widened Compass Malaise/Refresh. Everyone should be standing in the center of the room for more convenient cleaving. BLU should keep a cure spell set incase the WHM and GEO get hit by Sleepga from one of the BLM Fomors. BLU runs up and cleaves the first 8 Fomors initially up at the start of the fight. Burst Affinity Silent Storm and Anvil Lightning should kill them all. After those die, BLU runs back to the center of the room with the WHM and GEO. Stay in PDT as the Fomors hit fairly hard. WHM keeps BLU Stoneskined with Afflatus Solace cures.
Second wave: WHM does Firestorm on GEO, Boost-DEX, Accession Regen IV. GEO does Vex/Frailty/Entrust Malaise. BLU cleaves the Corses with Burst Affinity Silent Storm to interrupt their spells they'll attempt to cast, followed by Anvil Lightning to further lengthen their immobility, then finish off with Searing Tempest. This will also apply Burn to the Dullahan for stronger Fire MBs. Engage and spam CDC 'til it dies, GEO bursts Fire when able. Atra. Libations does a large amount of AoE damage; WHM needs to be ready to use heavy Curagas. After the Dullahan dies, go to the corner behind where the second wave had popped (you want to be behind the PLD/MNK/BLM party)
Third wave: Note: For some reason, only some of the Fomor will be automatically hit by the GEO's debuff bubbles, while some will not. I don't know the cause of this, but your GEO should be tagging every mob to ensure bubbles are taking effect, as Wilt is a lifesaver on some of the Fomor.
Usual stuff from WHM, GEO does Indi-Wilt and Geo-Frailty, BLU's Unbridled Learning should be up now, so Diffusion Mighty Guard and reapply any other defensive buffs you have set. Occultation is important for a few of the Fomor. For every single Fomor, open with Sudden Lunge to render them harmless for the long duration of the Stun. When ready, engage the PLD first; make sure you're attacking behind him while letting Amchuchu get initial hate to avoid shield blocks. Open with Sudden Lunge and self-SC Light with double CDC. If he's still alive, GEO bursts Fire. If he gets Invincible off, switch to the BLM and take him out while waiting on Invincible to wear off. Open with Sudden Lunge as routine. Reengage the PLD if necessary. Finish off the MNK next. Sudden Lunge him from the back to avoid Guard.
Do the RNG/SAM/GEO party on your right next. Move into aggro range (15' yalms) then move back so the GEO places their bubble away to where you'll be fighting them. After she casts it, move in and kill them in the order of GEO > RNG or SAM > RNG or SAM. This is the least threatening wave of the 4. Remember to Sudden Lunge and keep Occultation up.
WAR/RUN/BST party next. Kill the BST first to prevent her from summoning her Hound pet. Open with Sudden Lunge (hopefully you get the idea by now) to buy you more time from the summon and Perfect Dodge. Kill the WAR next. Careful of Mighty Strikes Fell Cleave. You should be able to survive with the GEO's Wilt. Do the RUN after.
Finally, the NIN/DRK/DRG party. Take out the NIN's shadows and Sudden Lunge to keep her from recasting Utsusemi: San. After she's down, move to the DRK. Be careful of Dread Spikes. Set Blank Gaze. Finally, kill the DRG and her Wyvern if it spawns.
Boss: WHM can either do Barfira/Baramnesra or Barblizzara/Barparalyzra. GEO does Vex and Blaze Frailty. BLU's Diffusion should be up or almost up to reapply Mighty Guard. Burst Affinity Anvil Lightning should take out the lesser Fomors that surround the boss. If not, it shouldn't take more than 1 more BLU nuke. Make sure the BLU has some form of Aquaveil up to prevent interruptions. The boss is fairly simple; Vex should be rendering him nearly harmless. The worst thing you'll have to worry about in this fight is Cruel Joke, which is anywhere from a 10 to 30 count Doom which should have plenty of time to be Cursna'd.
Average clear time after practice is about 13 minutes.
Duskbrood Gate/Elemental Zone: I use Spectral Floe, Silent Storm and Blinding Fulgor as my cleave spells, but pretty much any 3 will work here. I clear out all of the Fire elementals (mainly since I use those to pop Perfidien/Plouton), Thunder Elementals, Light Elementals and Dark Elementals to both prevent the boss from absorbing Light skillchains and from casting Death.
Umbril NM: Sneak/Invisible your BLU and have them aggro pull to a safe spot. Killing the Hybrid elementals before the Umbril will cause the Umbril to gain a large amount of MDT, greatly reducing kill speed on him. GEO does Vex/Blaze Malaise. WHM gives the GEO Firestorm. BLU opens light for the GEO to burst Fire off of. WHM needs to keep a safe distance from a possible Breakga. After it's dead, clear out the group of Hybrid Elementals with a Burst Affinity Silent Storm. Cleave the nearby Thunder elementals as well. Keep Aquaveil up.
Move through the zone and clear out the Light elementals.
Pixie NM: Same pulling method as the Umbril; Sneak/Invis and aggro pull. Killing the Hybrid elementals before the Pixie will cause the Pixie to gain access to Cyclonic Turmoil, Lethe Arrows and Zephyr Arrow. GEO does Vex/Frailty. WHM stays 20' away to avoid Norn Arrows, so BLU and GEO need to make sure they're in a position where they can be cured. Cleave the group of Hybrid Elementals after the Pixie dies, then the Dark Elementals nearby.
Boss: If you'll be dying on any boss in Vagary, it will be this one. Nukes can do enough damage to potentially 1-shot your BLU or Amchuchu. GEO does Vex/Blaze Frailty/Entrust Wilt. WHM does Baraera/Barsilencera, Accession Regen IV, etc.. BLU Diffusions Mighty Guard and keeps up Cocoon/Barrier Tusk. During the fight, the WHM should be keeping Afflatus Solace Cureskin up on the BLU as often as possible to increase survival against strong nukes. Wail on it while keeping Cureskin up and it will go down eventually.
Average clear time after practice is about 15 minutes. 30 minutes if including Perfidien and Plouton.
Perfidien: Most commonly done in the Elemental Zone. There are 3 pop conditions that must be met to pop Perfidien: Kill 5 mobs with a Magic burst, kill 5 mobs with the killshot dealing a certain requisite of damage (T4 spell is usually enough), and perform a 4-step skillchain. NMs can not be used as targets to fulfill these conditions. It is recommended the BLU brings low level swords to avoid killing your target to do the multi-step on. GEO does Indi-Precision and Entrust Haste to assist the BLU in reaching magic haste cap without Mighty Guard and gain enough accuracy to hit your targets with their non-Ilv swords. The easiest way to go about performing the skillchain is doing Fast Blade > True Strike (GEO) > Fast Blade > True Strike (WHM) or, if you'd like to perform the 6-step required to pop Plouton which will also fulfill Perfidien's 4-step requirement, you can do Fast Blade > Burning Blade > Fast Blade > True Strike (GEO) > Fast Blade > True Strike(WHM).
For the fight, GEO does Vex/Blaze Frailty, WHM stands inside to reapply buffs that will be getting constantly dispelled throughout the fight. BLU wails on him like everything else with their back to a wall to avoid knockback, however it's recommended to avoid Skillchains at the risk of healing him. Savage Blade spam works well. Having your GEO find the periodical elemental weakness that occurs below 90% and then creating skillchains for your GEO to burst off will make the fight go much faster if you choose to do so. If your nuke heals him, the superior element will be the weakness (if Blizzard heals, Fire is the weakness) and if your nuke does 0, 2 elements ahead will be the weakness (if Blizzard does 0, Fire will heal him and Water will be the weakness). Your GEO should unequip their weapon to avoid risking healing Perfidien for too much, as healing him creates a 30' Encumberance aura with a duration proportionate to the amount healed for.
The dispels are annoying, but he isn't very threatening with your GEO applying Vex.
Plouton: Very similar to the pop conditions as Perfidien. They are: perform a 6-step skillchain (recommended method in Perfidien section), kill 10 mobs with a high-damage nuke, and MB a mob for over 5000 damage without killing it. Creating Scission with Burning Blade > Fast Blade and having the GEO MB in their normal MB gear with Stone I works for me, but you may have to tweak your GEO's nuke set around if it's doing too little or too much. You can do both the killshot and MB requirements on the same mob by following up your Stone I MB to fulfill the MB condition with a Stone II to kill the mob to fulfill the high-damage killshot condition.
The fight is very similar to Perfidien. The magic weakness mechanics are the same, and it also doesn't begin until under 90%. However, Plouton's mechanics when attempting to fight him with melee are a bit different. He will occasionally take very little damage (1-10 damage) from 2 of 3 damage types being Slashing, Piercing and Blunt. It's recommended you bring Vampirisms for piercing damage and Clubs for blunt damage. GEO does Bolster Frailty/Vex/Entrust Precision for this fight.
Don't mistake this as the only way to go about trioing Vagary. It's just how I go about doing it to avoid job changing.

Thank you!
I understand it's not the only way, however it's very insightful. I really appreciate it. 8D

Ive been tryin to 3box Putraxia for days now and I just cant get it.
Nin, Geo, Whm using amchuchu, king and cornelia.
The fairy and umbril both take ~2 minutes to kill umbril can be a nuisance because the doom but it doesnt cost much time.
I was at first skipping all the elementals but the hybrids and dark ele's and spam blade ten(using kikokuAG) at 1700-2100 tp using frailty fury wilt innin soy ramen +1.
Skipping all the ele's im getting to him with about 15-20m left.
Hybrid rooms are taking about 5-6 min fastest ive done is alternating characters, self skillchaining on nin with their weakness and swapping to the geo quickly and nuking the others with single targets normally a V + III kills them.
I'm having to aggro them all on nin and just keep shadows up until theyre clustered enough for sleepga then start killing them normally it goes just fine.
Putraxia normally is good until about 10-15% amchuchu will get one shotted then he will proceed to flip out on me and it becomes a fight to keep up shadows to not get oneshotted by a nuke. taking me about 7 minutes to get him down that low.
Question since im doing dark skillchain if I kill all dark ice and earth will he still full absorb the skillchain, or will he only absorb the water element portion of it and the rest of the damage is applied even though in the log it will only show the amount absorbed?
Also if I may ask whats your gear roughly?
Nin is ag +39% WSD in gear i wont get too specific other than that
Dunna capped potency geo just nuking in full jjhakri and the ice tiger staff because im lazy.
Any tips would be awesome :)!

Just cleared him.
Was really close only 45s remaining but
Nin, Geo, WHm, Amchuchu, King, Cornelia
Skipped all elementals but dark and ofc the hybrids for door unlock
Fairy and Umbril take ~2-3m Umbril just making light skillchain Shun-->Metsu and bursting with Fire V/II and Firaga IV from King
Fairy just fury/frailty and Metsu spam doing about 15k
Hybrids im indi refresh, geo acumen, haste I, aquaveil, Regen IV, boost INT.
AspirIII-I whenever you can to keep mp up so no downtime on elementals.
Can be rough on mp if you dont aspir much on the Fire/light+thunder/wind hybrids since dark is right after
Killing the one dark elemental in the room with Putraxia and then accession Regen IV and SS.
Entrusting fade at around 50% to myself on nin and doing fury/frailty.
Amchuchu will die so once he does i swap to indi haste on the geo and swap to weak defensemode only -31%pdt -17%mdt, prioritizing keeping shadows up so he cant oneshot you with AM or Holy II, was using blade metsu if below 1500 tp and blade ten for most of the fight before that because it cant self chain and it just gets better with more TP, normally was going at around 1800-2100 doing 10-11k while metsu stayed around 9800.
Towards then end when I was mostly in pdt/haste my ws rate slowed enough so I could metsu w/o chaining, but he also likes to use this Slow+Stun move when he's lower aswell.

WHats the current strat to fast Brimboil kill?
Sometimes he takes long time to pop so that i cant afford auto attack/low nukes and need some big dmg output.
Thanks in advance.
