In Monster Rearing, I've been feeding my Sabotender sunflower seeds for over two weeks now, maybe longer (ever since it got to three stars), and every time it squirms, but it never evolves. Any idea on how long it takes?

It's completely random. Some people go 1/1, some people go 0/15... in my case it took about 7 feeds of sunflower seeds

Just keep trying ^^;

I did it on 2 characters, my main it evolved after a few trades, the mule, I lost count how many it was, cactuar evolutions can really suck.

Damn. I think I've traded at least two stacks of sunflower seeds so far .. guess it's a lower chance than the others.

Hmm, I can see why they made it harder to get the movement speed cheer effect. I'll just have to pray each day til it evolves.

One thing I've always thought of with pets is, depending on how nice you are to them, it'll take less time to evolve. Did you:

A. Feed it everyday?
B. Poke it everyday?
C. Not well... slap it (lol)
D. Check on how the critter is doing periodically?

I think with all of these things combined, it will determine if your pet digivolves evolves really fast or really really slow (wow 0/58 *comforts*)

I got lucky in that it only took 7 trades to get it to evolve, but it advanced from 2.5 to 3 stars while doing so. the only monster that has been equally frustrating was the Elsamoth evolution for me.

Yes I do all these things everyday. :) Pure contentment is a common sight in my rearing ground.

I got the Elasmoth with just one dragon meat the other day. Or did you mean the last form Skormoth?

Sabotender to Jumbotender seems to be just pure luck at a low rate of evolving. There's a bunch of testimonials over at BG forums in the Mog Garden thread of it taking people 60-100+ tries. It took me 5 months for me to get it. -_-

Fed it seeds for 2 months, gave up thinking I'm doing something wrong. Raised another and it took another 3 months before it finally happened for me.

It sucks but some get lucky and some people like myself feed it over 100+ times before it evolves. Given how slow Behemoth from start to finish takes if you don't skip any stages, they probably think it's fine at this low evolve rate. Anyone doing it hang in there.

I think it took me 37 tries (and the double campaign) on my third one for it to evolve.

Try not to suck any *** on the way to the parking lot SE.

Oh I never did respond to this. I got my jumbotender in the end, but it took about three months of feeding it every day. So that's like ... 90+ in a row? Yes, it can be that bad.

So do we have to evolve the Pequetender to the Sabotender first and THEN work on evolving it from Sabotender to Jumbotender? Because this Pequetender I am giving sunflower seeds hates them hahahaha.

Yes, and yes it's irritating

A poke a day mostly cancels out the anger of the seeds. Only one time I've seen it actually drop into darkness and have to burn GPS crystals to correct it.

Do you mean my Cactaur named Mulder? Yeah. He's a feisty ***.
It gets there, but you just have to keep poking it and feeding it sunflower seeds. 15.75% is 15.75% so good luck. Could be tomorrow. Could be a month from now.
