Fastest Way To 30 These Days?

I'm not sure the best way to get to 30 these days. I did a bunch of Records of Eminence objectives, got the Trusts available to me, and did some Field Manual pages... I'm currently only Level 12, and I'm just not sure where to go. I'm in Sandy and not sure where to go, if it's just more books (but which?), and so forth.

Does there exist any sort of official steps, something like:
1-10: Page # of FoV/GoV Book X
11-20: Page # of FoV/GoV Book Y
21-30: Page # of FoV/GoV Book Z

Or something similar?

Keep in mind I'm also in the Sandy region, without any discernible or easy way to get to a Bastok or Windurst region.

With Trusts and RoE going, you can kinda disregard the Field Manuals; you get exp for RoE even if the enemy is too weak.

1-15: Starter areas, shifting towards the crag zone lines
15-20: Crag areas
20-30: Dunes or Buburimu

Assuming you're a new character, this has extra advantages: If you pick up 3 bee pollens (Konschtat or La Theine) or 3 Mandragora dewdrops (Tahrongi), you can make the first step in Rhapsodies of Vana'Diel. By trading the items to the mayor of Selbina (pollen) or Mhaura (dewdrops), you can get your first Rhapsody KI, which gives you

- extra +30% exp and skill up gains
- an extra trust slot in party
- bypasses the collecting of the 3 items for subjob quest
- a free ride to Norg so you don't have to collect airship keys, and can unlock NIN and SAM sooner

I also recommend activating Unity early on, as you can use accolades to warp directly to Sarutabaruta or Gustaberg from San d'Oria.

Thanks for the reply. Does your list mean to just turn on the "kill 10 enemies in ___ region" RoE and just spam kill in those zones?

I do have the Unity set up already, so that warp thing definitely helps, too. Thanks!

- make sure you are getting/using XP rings from the Signet NPC.

- get Regen from FoV book, that 1 /tick really adds up at low levels.

- make sure you are setting quests from Records of Eminence, the sparks are nice for gear upgrades, but you can get a lot of easy XP that way because it is stuff like "Kill 5 enemies that give you XP" which isn't as finicky as Fields of Valor.

- FoV in older areas is kinda poorly designed, they focused on an effort to get you to fight a variety of mobs, which just makes it inefficient. at level 12, I suggest taking your trusts to La Theine, setting the objective for Crabs and Sheep, and going to the pond a little northeast of the center of the map. you can run around there killing crabs for solid XP, and then dash north or east for the occasional sheep. (be careful of the NM)

- by around 14-16 you are safe to head to the dunes, and fight the rarabs and goblins by the La Theine zone line. as I imagine you do not have a subjob, be careful, as it is a bit of a walk. FoV in the Dunes will have you running around a bit (the lizards objective will run you past a ton of aggro-ing bats) so I suggest sticking to objectives with Crabs/Leeches. don't take on Flies unless you have high HP or a method of curing Poison, as that can ruin your day as it lasts forever at those levels.

- I would say to not bother with your sub until ~20 because good luck soloing those mobs with only trusts. XP comes so fast it shouldn't matter too much.

- after you get your subjob taken care of, next stop in the early 20s would be Jugner forest. you need to be careful here, as there is a fair amount of aggro that can really wreck you. there is an FoV objective to kill mushrooms and tigers, and once you can reliably do that, it is some excellent XP. you'll probably be doing this as long as you can stand it, and more.

- late 20s tends to be an awkward stage, as Batalia mobs are strong enough that you cannot just mow through them, and will require periods of rest. you should work to get Dancer unlocked in Jeuno if you can, as it tends to help a lot.

Well, you would ideally be killing with that RoE objective on while also fighting stuff that gives exp. At the lower levels, you don't need to go against anything higher than Even Match or Tough, and even Easy Prey still gives out quite a decent amount. At 15, most of the starter area enemies are Too Weak, so it's not worth the time, while crag area enemies would be DC/EP. The closer you get to 30, you'll find you may do better off just walking towards Jeuno and see how you fare against enemies along the way.

I did cor from lvl 1-60 in about 3-4hrs w/trusts no rov just exp bands and mobs reading from EM>VT fast lvld up pretty quick 3 days tops was 99.

I just looked into the exp rings that were mentioned. There are three: Chariot, Empress, and Emperor. Is one a better value than the other? I'm low on Conquest Points to begin with, but I can afford either of them at the moment. I notice two have 7 charges and one only has 3, though.

Emperor Band 100%. They give out the most exp per use, even if only 3 charges. Can recharge them once every conquest tally (Sunday 10-11AM EST, depending on DST).

1-99 in 26minutes during gain exp with some friends

Not that I have any friends in the game, but still :P

While this is probably true for a veteran player, it's impossible for someone new who still needs to do limit breaks and doesn't have all the RoV KI's for increased xp gain.

As for my personal solo routine for those final jobs I still have to get up once I get the motivation again:

-1~10: Any area near one of the starter cities.
-10~19: Dunes/Buburimu
-19~28: Qufim island
-28~32: Yuhtunga Jungle near Khazam.

For now, just pick pages and kill what's on them and don't forget the RoE objectives applicable to the area (Crystals/Area itself) for a bit of extra exp and points.

Can write down the rest I use to 99 as well, if you wish but I guess you're aiming for 30 to leech the rest up in Abyssea?

Having just blasted five subs up to 49, I will share my exp path with you.

1-16 Starter Zones with Trust it will turn into slaughtering anything that checks.

16-32 Grounds of Valor page 2 Maze of Shakalaka. Kill everything watch for links until they are around Even Match.

32-40 Grounds of Valor page 2 Lower Delfukts Tower. Enter the tower, go left. Kill everything in this room, go upstairs and repeat. Come back down and the first room is repoping. If you run out of targets start adding in the main doughnut room on the first floor (north of the exit to Quifim)

40-49 Crawlers Nest. Bee and crawler page.

With Trust and Exp ring you can knock it out in about 3 hours. This assumes you have the survival book teleports so you can hop camp to camp. Travel time will increase this.

sch and blm just run around 1 shotting mobs to keep chain and kill as fast as possible, while you dont have to oneshot, keeping chain is important. we just run around casting tier 5/6's and using spirit taker to get MP back nonstop. can also go melee with whm trust. obviously taking cors or more people this will go faster. doesnt take super veteran players, hell the more friends you have the faster it will go once you build up chain

mule doesnt have exp+ KI's and averages about 2/3rds the speed of the main characters so if that gives you a good idea

I have done this too to get characters up to 30. Any of the Adoulin areas work for this. Normally would take DDs though with whm trust, cor or brd trusts for dd, etc to help it move faster, as well as having someone Corsair's Roll the leach (usually have a 2nd leach on cor that can do that). Can set mob and crystal ROE to help as well.

while it is not as fast as other ways mentioned I think it's still a really fun way to PL, get a 99 smn with maxed skill inv to pt use ifrits enfire for an extra 30-40 per hit last time I did it( before adoulin) at lvl 1 with that much extra dmg killing stuff is just so unfair lol. smn enfire is(or at least was, idk if it was changed) based only off smn skill lvl not the lvl of person who receives it.

you can also go to gusgen mines at 10ish with trusts and do page 3 (skeletons) until lv 30 with skeletons and liches and ghouls

I just went right outside of town and hit stuff till I quickly reached level 10 or so. From there I unity warped to the highlands and killed everything in sight on the way to Gusgen. By the time I hit Gusgen I was around 15, and I killed skeletons inside till 30.

Fastest way to 99 these days is to buy somebody else's account.
