I would really like to do some endgame too, since i've being mostly playing solo lately, but the only half-geared job i have is RNG (made an annihilator), which i understand is not being used anymore in most endgame. I'm all for gearing up a support job, but they too require endgame items to shine, and i dont think anyone would group me anyway without top notch gear. So, here i come asking, is there any job i can gear up mostly solo that can get me invited in endgame activities and CP parties(since i severely lack jps)?
I don't play that much anymore, but GEO or WHM are both good. GEO is, quite simply, the best job in the game by a wide margin. Un-dispellable buffs, debuffs, and strong nuking capabilities. It's the only job that's useful in every strategy and every situation.
WHM is less-useful on lower-tier content, where trusts can do the healing role, but on "real" stuff, it's a requirement. White mage is extremely easy to gear and skill, too. AF3 body, AF3 legs, capped cure potency, cure cast/fast cast sets, capped healing/enhancing skill, and you're done. You are basically set for 95% of content in the game. Geomancer takes a bit more investment, especially skill-wise, but it's more broadly useful, like I said.
If you do beastmaster, be wary of dumping too much gil into gear augments. This is just an anecdote, but dusk augments for pets on weapons are hard to come by in my experience. Consider skipping the TP bonus skirmish axes and just going with weapons that have pet atk/acc/matk/macc.
