I'm okay with calling US politicians cowards because most are too afraid to make any real changes because they won't get voted for again

Anyone with sugar and yeast with a still can make moonshine. I would imagine it is much easier to pump out liquor. Than someone with more technical knowledge getting blueprints, a mill and lathe, along with the materials to start pumping out AKs like they were drugs or booze. Even then they would be much more expensive.

a $10,000 pistol is not going to be shooting up many schools.

You realize 400million guns already exist inside the USA right?

Asura.Floppyseconds said: »
Point is it is not something that will never possibly happen.

You realize 400million guns already exist inside the USA right?

Why do you ask me to explain this to you like it is rocket science?

You realize 400million guns already exist inside the USA right?

Please, tell us how are you going to get three-fourths of the states to to change the bill of rights. It will literally never happen.

Edit: Rav beat me ; ;

The bill of rights is just 10 amendments, no different than any of the other amendments as far as legality is concerned. It is totally possible to repeal one of the first 10 amendments, nothing prevents it.

Why are we acting like the first 10 amendments are somehow more untouchable than anything after it.

As if we are more likely to change our 13th than our 2nd. Come on..

This all started with a love affair for an insignificant statistic.

I was always told that the first 10 were the bill of rights, thank you public schooling.

Move the goalposts. You asked me to explain this former with an attitude that came off like: "Pft, he will never get this ***, it just isn't possible" and now it is "oh yeah, well what about this?"

No I did not. I have asked you to tell us how three-fourths of the states are going to come together and change the 2nd amendment. Keep in mind more than half of them will not ever change their mind on it AND 400mil guns already are in citizen hands.

Your perfect utopia of Australia is absolutely nothing like the USA so stop using it as an example.

Asura.Floppyseconds said: »
I am sure there are parallels to taking away guns like taking away slaves and destroying booze.
The slave parallel could be about the only wiggle room you have. Except for it took a civil war and millions dead for that to happen.

We are getting of topic and mincing words. When I first used the "Bill of Rights" in was in a quote. But you are wrong about nothing preventing changing the 2nd amendment.

What you was told is accurate and you are right. You just mistook the context of my words. Yay interent! If you would have back-read you would have understood exactly what i was saying.

The Civil War did not even start over slavery.

Wow! Agreement! I don't know what to do...

Asura.Floppyseconds said: »
You only added the 400M guns after the fact as if it somehow tips the scales in a 3/4ths majority.

No actually I pointed out the 400mil thing a few pages ago. I have this thing about keeping up with the conversation and trying to not use the same points over and over unlike some.. But when you ignore said points I obviously needed to point them out again.

Asura.Floppyseconds said: »
The point of Australia is that while it was fewer guns
fewer citizens, smaller land mass.. different government set-up.. But yeah, exactly like the United states in every way..

But, it is.

I did answer that.

Hey AO, while we are at it.

Why does only America has this issue with mass shootings and unparalleled gun violence?

Other than its not only America? Just because it happens more frequently does not make it an "only in America thing"..

And no, you didn't answer that. not in the slightest.

Thats not the process, thats the act. The process is completely possible, which is what I have stated all along. Every amendment is repealable.
