Thanks Sif's Macrame takes you to 105
Haruspex Hat to 106 Haruspex Slops to 107 Haruspex Coat to 109 Yetshila / Ogapepo / Foppish to 110 The key is to make sure you have all the skill enhancing gear so you can be Tier 1 on stuff one level above you. Tier 0 is the best anyone can do for Yetshila/etc., so you can sell them for Tier 0 prices if you do happen to HQ. I HQed a Yetshila and a few Haruspex pieces, so the entire process was net profit for me to get to 110. Offline

Nice one, thank you. What did you get for the Yetshila?

Been working on my skill+ items, but it's a slow process, been unlucky with some sub 2k total guild point items for days. So looks like I'll take cloth to 105 then hold off til I have all items.
Skill up in Adoulin. Ionis gives an increase in skill up rate. Also can eat the food rumored to increase chance of skill ups. Either Rusk or Macaroons. One does skill ups the other is HQs.
If you want to wait, you can buy all your mats now and wait until the next 2x skill up rate campaign. Offline

I sort of overlooked 98~102/3.. any tips there?
Sif Macrame to 105 but at 200k a pop, don't want to start too early. Being a CC who is just coming back, grabbing SoA once it's on sale, I remember some mats were a pain in the *** (Sif's lock, Penelope cloth just to name a few). Now with all the new content, has it become easier to obtain such items from any of it, or are they still from the areas from before?

Penelope's Cloth should be a little easier to obtain in a couple of weeks when the KCNM & HKCNM event begins because you can get the cloth as a drop from the event. I didn't even realize the price of the cloth shot up so much recently until a couple of days ago (because of the new Su2 gear) and I still had a cloth on a mule that I had from the last time the event was going on, so I quickly sold it before the price drops due to the event.

Today, I went from 102.6 to 104.1 after synthesizing 37 akaso thread.
So, the cheaper alternatives to the Haruspex items might work up to 104 at least. Thread title edited to be less vague.

It occurred to me that double synth skill increase during the rainbow campaign might explain why I'm getting skill ups.

Lurking Clothcrafter who just hit 110 yesterday.
One of the things I got hung up on while trying to farm skillups during this event was the idea of crafting things that were higher level than my current skill. Problem is, after a certain point materials get very expensive and rare. Thing is that you can skillup 11 points after the craft. I was skilling on Wyrdweave with kitron macaroons, and then on Swith Capes for the remaining little bit. Wyrdstrand is easy to farm with TH/TH trusts in the lowest floor of the Crawler's Nest. Sparkstrand is more of a pain, but thee sale of Swith Capes (in the HQ version at least) more than makes up for the cost of buying on my server. |
