Hm when would it be ideal to do FF2 event? I guess after this orb event ends there will be another one right?
im doing part 1 now and part2+bonus during phase 3
Wow, FF2 characters are very underwhelming... Firion is ok, I guess. his SB weapon looks decent, but meh, just another Lifesiphon >> SB character with nothing else he can really bring to the table.
I guess Josef's weapon is is decent if you need an attack boost, but lolmnk.
Leila is just a generic 4* combat thief which of that there are plenty of other better option out.
And Minwu, well, I guess he's not horrible as healer, Lenna is about the same, but with WAY better SB options... and other healers have way more versatility them him.
Over all, not very impressed with this event/banner, lol.

Out of those FF2 chars, at least Leon is unique with his SB Hands of the Emperor that provides the unique att+def buff, that stacks with everything else, though that debatable as Shout + RS weapon will probably hit soft cap for most chars.
I dont think Leon is worth bringing just for HotE, neither its as a RW. Still, I did a pull and will do a new one next banner just to fill the FF2 gears Im missing.

Minwu's got a niche as a burst healer with his SB staff and ties with Penelo for second highest MND tier behind Lenna.
Unfortunately for him; Yuna, Lenna, Vanille, Aerith and Selphie all have MC2 available in the Hall of Rites if you didn't pick them up earlier. And Penelo's MC2 is coming up in the next XII event. So his MND tier doesn't mean much.

I read somewhere on BG Cid's Hyper Jump stacks with every Attack boost and Protect EXCEPT HoTE.
It's buried somewhere, but I was asking about Hyper Jump and got a response that said exactly that.

That's about all I would want from this banner too... synergy. But, I don't think it's worth it with SSBfest and FFT coming up soon. ><;
Plus assuming you reach the Attack cap with scream means you need either a natural wall or natural scream, plus synergy weapons. It's rare to meet those conditions.
Dang, i just used 40 staminas and didnt notice there are less than 7h till the next phase (power/wind/NE).
It is brilliant how far and well I have been going so far without spending a dime. I must say DeNa is doing a pretty good job at maintaining such freedom for 100% ftp players. I also think they made the recent ultimate fights easier to keep people interested before the upcoming events that people can't wait to try out or maybe not, idk but regardless, you don't see such freedom in most ftp games with cash shops.

A dude in reddit said that second stage is the best to get wind orbs. I redid it and was not disapointed.
Woo! Finally got my 1st 80 character!(Garnet) Too bad I don't have any SB's for her. 5 more days until I get to LVL. 80 some characters that I actually DO have SB's for, lol.

I'm thinking Bartz, Vivi and Lulu or Locke instead of Lulu. I really like Bartz RM and Vivi's (looks interesting but I wonder if its weaker than normal attack.) Locke I hear is suppose to become very strong with Thief Raid or whatever it will be called, I hate choosing!
I think it will depend of what SSB i can get but ideally, my best choice would be Bartz, Locke and Aeris.
But without Valiant Knife, im not sure if i will go for Locke. Probably will go for Gilgamesh.

Bartz and Locke for sure, probably Vanille for the 3rd because I have her SBs and use her sometimes.
2x 5* off my lucky. Celes runeblade which I doubt I'll ever use. Edward Harp! I don't have a support defensive item so this is great. Also don't have a normally usable protect item. I've pretty much never used any support but Wakka but now I have options!
Pulled Sephiroths Coat, which is pretty cool but not Yoshiyuki or any other weapon I'd have preferred to pull, I suppose.

While I agree with you that this game is playable without spending a dime, ultimates have been all over the place in difficulty.
We just got Bahamut SIN who was one of the hardest Ultimates we'd received. Then we get Adel, a DPS race and then a gimmick laden Silver Dragon. Garland wasn't technically ultimate and going back, Beatrix was no slouch either.
It's fair enough that whales aren't too far ahead of 100% f2p but F2P is all RNGeezus on those free pulls. It helps when people can clear content with Cores. Airborne Brigade this is not.

I ask the reverse of that, can I get a magical SB? I have more than enough physical SB's, but hte only magical one I have is Kefka's Havoc Wing(which is nice don't get me wrong). But if I need to go to a fight with primarily all magic damage, I'm kind of at a loss.
