Only banners I really care about right now are this one that's out now and Phase 5 of the SSB fest. Locke's dagger is nice, but meh, Vaan works just as my THF.
Locke will be the only THF able to 5-hit Thief's Raid when it drops until a few people break level caps again. It helps that Locke is VI and VI events be common.

Love doing FF9 events since my synergy is so good in them lol. This one didn't seem hard at all though even without all the equips. My setup:

Leeching Leap is pretty amazing. 2000+ HP recovery combined with invincibility is pretty fantastic.
Had to actually hone jumps, what is the world coming to.
I pulled twice on the newest banner because my FF9 synergy literally doesn't exist, like I have one weapon a 3* honed to 5* axe, and a Hypocrown for Eiko. Saw a rainbow orb, got excited, another MND head that is worse than Eikos crown.

I found honing 3* elemental jumps a lot nicer on my orb count than using them on 4* spellblades of equal strength.
Also, a 2* Jump does just as much as a 3* Launch, which everyone seemed to be pumping orbs into for whatever reason. I figured pumping orbs into Tempo Flurry was a much better idea. And those Lesser Power Orbs weren't being used for anything else after I maxed out Retaliate.

They have similar multipliers, but Jumps deal less damage than the comparative spellblade/combat abilities due to the air time.
Air time that has no influence of the amount of abilities you can use under any buff, so not a particularly important detail. Silly to say those few seconds matter so much when Quick Hit is considered trash tier.
Considering Freya went most of the encounter being missed by all the AoE counters and AoE fired by Silver Dragon when it was flying, I'll take the airtime over a slight speed advantage.

This ultimate wasn't too bad. Took me two sets of stamina (had to change RW) and a few s/l; just took a while since my synergy was ***, so my damage output was as well. Went down slow and steady
Eh, i forgot to exchange my hero souls last Vale of Memories to eggs. Now i could exchange those for Ingus, Firion and Edward MC1 to lv, just in time the orbfest started.
Woo, anniversary is here! I got Bartz, Locke, and Squall with my hero souls. Did anyone besides me actually have to use them to unlock characters, lol?
I unlocked Gau and a few core characters I'm missing.

Isn't Gau in Core too? I thought I remembered that from the announcement when they added him, that's why he was one I chose to skip since I'll get him eventually anyway.
And yeah, I skipped Firion for the exact same reason.

PSA: Firion will be needed for ++ battle in the Minwu event so get that man off the bench and in the game. He's only waited since launch for an FFII event.

Yes, I was only missing 3 characters and the first gift was exactly what I needed. I unlocked Gau, Berserker and Thief.
More 10 days till more 3 MC2.
Probably i will see who will get what relic before doublebreaking.
Btw, even though we got special login rewards, we still didnt get the core 5* relics.

I was using Tyro as a dragoon since I don't really have any dragoons at a good level. Tyro still sucks. Decided to egg Freya up to 65 and it worked perfectly. Higher damage output, better defenses, and her SB is even good! AoE regen actually matters in that fight.
When did they give out Edward level cap crystal? It shows as an option but is that new?
