FINAL FANTASY Record Keeper
Golbez is kind of nice for starting out, he has access to high magic stat and high physical stat. He can plow through adds just was quickly as any other melee with out wasting mgic charges so you can save the charges for the bosses when needed.
Btw, ocne you get passed all the classic/elite dungeons first time bonuses and use up all the growth eggs what method people using to grind levels on multiple characters?
I know the less people you have in a PT the more each character gets, but somehow if you need to level multiple characters I don't think carrying them through 1 at a time would be the most efficent means of leveling. I know they get and EXP bonus if you level them in the same FF dungeons they actually are from. Are prople just taking 1 max leveled character and using that to carry 4 characters from the same FF through the highest level elite dungeon for that area? Are prople just taking 1 max leveled character and using that to carry 4 characters from the same FF through the highest level elite dungeon for that area? The best place to level a party is sunday, doing the daily dungeons. There, its the highest exp/stamina in game (4950 exp/stamina) plus some eggs for completion. Aside sunday, there are very few places to exp. The only meh place is the dungeon in FFVI, Vector Classic stage 2, that nets 1160 exp/stamina (without synergy). Its relatively low, só its kinda preferably to grind the orbs in current daily. Today its Power and white orbs. Power orbs are the most valuable as every physical ability requires them (double cuts and retaliate need lesser Power orbs). White orbs are a bit less wanted but try grabbing the 3* orbs to build curagas and haste. Also, check dungeons rewards to grab enough greater orbs and be quick to make protectga/shellga, that are kinda of requirement to anything hard. Also, I think its important to tell about the importance of mythrils. Mythrils are the only way to play this game actually free.
It can be used to expand inventory, refresh stamina, continue same stage after a game over and finally, and most important, to collect relics through banners. This game offers too little equipment through dungeons/events. Its mostly accessory and some 3* pieces. Some celebration events can give out few 5* but its just for special days (christmas, hallowen, etc). Banners is the only place character unique relic is available, and unfortunelly at a crap drop rate: - 12% chance to get a 5* equipment; - 25% chance to get a 4* equipment; - 63% chance to get a 3* equipment. Every banner has featured items with increased probability to drop them: for example, current Lightning banner feature Peacemaker, and just in that specific banner Peacemaker has a whooping 1% chance to drop. It will be near zero in every other banner (for example, you wont get Peacemaker in Edges banner). Considering the limited amount of mythril (mythrils are given daily but just 1 per day plus 2 per week, them its just as one time rewards in dungeons. Aside that, you cant actually farm it forever) its The best to save them to try your luck to get one of the trinity relics, or an extremelly strong SB. You can check upcoming relics here: http://bantha.org/%7Edscotton/ffrk.html The very best solution would be saving all mythril till SSB celebration banners, but its a long way ahead. What I can advise you hope is: - Sephiroths Yoshiyuki, very strong SB; - Eikos Golem flute, AoE Cura+hastega. Relics are the most controversial aspect in this game given how bad are the odds to get a single wanted relic (1%): its not uncommon people hoarding ~500 mythrils and failing to get that weapon, then quitting the game. As well, some lucky that pull that weapon in a single pull and starts loving the game. The Secret is to use mythril wisely, preferably when there are more than 1 good items. Well, I've only been using my mythril on relic draws to gear up and arm I still need plenty of relic items. Since I started though just using the mythril I've gotten from the one time clears for classic dungeons I've done so far I've only gotten 5 5* weapons(including the one from tutorial) and 1 5* armor. I've gotten the shaft quite a few times. But, hopefully I can pull a few more out. Not sure how much more I have coming but I'm only as far as Solitary Island FF6 in the "story".
Also make sure to actually select the banner you want the item from. I spent SO much of my early mythril on the normal mythril draw (like the generic banner thats always there) before figuring this out.

I think FFRK tends to be one of the more fair games of its kind
many other games follow the "1% for 5* cards" formula and it blows Quetzalcoatl.Wakmidget said: » Asura.Failaras said: » Also make sure to actually select the banner you want the item from. There used to be and I wasted a lot of mythril. I wonder how high damage I can get this SSB. With Boost + RS at 65 it was doing around 6k a hit on Bahamut, so 30k total or so. Once I master it, hit 80, maybe find a way to fit boost, full break, and deprotectga in one team... my god 50k damage.
Crushing Blow relic draw rules... I just got a 2nd Tungsten Bangle. :0

I think FFRK tends to be one of the more fair games of its kind many other games follow the "1% for 5* cards" formula and it blows Currently, its 12% for global, and 13% for japanese version. But still, its 1% for featured item. Im not sure of this, but I read japanese gacha have diferent rates for items right now, with 2% for 2 items, and 1% the rest. What I do know is that japanese banner kinda of changed compared to global, and became a lot better: after SSSB fest, with Cloud event, we gonna enter BSSB age. Starting that point, EVERY banner will have 2 SSB or 1 SSB and 1 BSSB. Plus, The generic relic pool will be reduced to favor old uniques SB relics, resulting in a banner with 5 char relics and 2 meh relics. Compared to our current model of 4 char SB relic (sometimes with a SSB) and 5 meh relics. Só, relic-wise, this game will improve a lot yet, though it should happen just after march. Thats way I wont be spending my mythril/cash in our current outdated relic model. So much mythril used...and it all goes into 3 star items ._.
I'm a bit slow, but what does the lock/unlock option on gear do?
is it just me, or are they reducing the amount of "free" mythril from events to try and get us to spend actual money?

Nope. We always receive 10 mythril beating entire event. We sure are "losing" some rewards due to huge amount of slots taken for characters and their MC, but I believe what we have been losing is some lower rank orbs in classic (we always used to receive lesser orbs) and some 4* orbs in elite. Aside our mythril received rate increased over time due to the now permanent daily mythril (previous Dr. Mog Satchet). And talking about that, here we go 15 mythril just because somewhere in the world DeNa decided to celebrate the arrival of winter (though here in Brasil its summer...). How do you guys always post those ingame screenshots lol? I can't find out how to access it.

Im not sure iPhone, but probably similar. Try pressing both buttons at same time. Phoenix.Dabackpack said: » 10% chance for 5* top-tier gear is really good compared to some other mobile games... I think FFRK tends to be one of the more fair games of its kind many other games follow the "1% for 5* cards" formula and it blows Now the idea of "top tier gear", people pull on banners generally for a very small amount of items. The likelihood that a banner even has 3-4 items people actually want is pretty low. For a new player it probably doesn't matter, any 5* is cool, for an older player though the likelihood if a bad 5* being completely useless is high. So your monthly 5* has probably over a 50% chance of being wasted. I think one thing that frustrates people like me is that there are some relics that come around very rarely and are completely unbalanced: Walls, Hastegas, and Medicas. So what you do is you skip months and months of your pulls in order to make sure you can get a Wall since you only have a week to pull it every half a year basically. On that banner you are basically pulling for a 1% chance, as you are focused on this important item, and not getting it after saving that long is a horrible feeling. Right now the game is almost balanced around these relics too, thank god for Roaming Warriors or the likelihood anyone would ever get the ultimate fights done without pulling a wall would be nearly zero. Even then you basically needed a Medica on Rubicante, so you needed at least one of the trinity or you were at a huge disadvantage. Me and two other friends play this hardcore. One stopped playing since he doesn't have SS2 Medica, and SG after rng beat his wallet up (like 300+ dollars). Meanwhile me and my other friend clober all events all characters 65+ and SSB out the butt and we prolly blew around 50-60 bucks on pulls... RNG for ya~

I enjoy this very much.. but I understand how lucky I am. Been playing since march 2015. Got hella lucky on SSB Events and dollar pulls. Getting SS2 and SG is pretty much needed. RNG for ya~ Yeah I mentioned here before theres a big FFRK youtuber/streamer that has Boon/SS2/Medicas and he made a video of him doing Yunalesca and it was just hilarious how easy it was for him and how many times he made mistakes and still won first try. It really is a huge difference. I pulled Medica II for Y'shtola super early, and have a shared SB staff with a low potency Medica so I'm kinda lucky. The sad part is that Y'shtola is 65 and now we have a way better 80 Lenna, I don't think Y'shtola even has a MC2 in JP. Pulling something like Lennas SB or a Medica for a flexible charactes such as Yuna (Can be main healer or Summoner DPS) or Rydia is really nice. Also FFXIV characters are just in general *** because they don't have realm synergy. I have relics for both Thancred and Y'shtola and hate that I can't get RS for them :(. I should be happy, I have two SSBs and decent relics. All of my relics are damage dealing however, and buffing relics are a bigger deal. Other than the Trinity, you have Planetary Protector and a myriad of AoE attack SBs that are really useful, of which I sadly have none. It's going to be a sad day when Ramza comes out because his relic is beyond broken, just demolishing Sazh and Red, and so many people are going to be saving the next however many months for it. Likely most won't get it. Ok, I have a question about weapon upgrading. What is the difference between scarletite/adamantite/Rosetta Stone. I see that they have more stars the higher you go but the exp for doesn't seem much different.
Rosetta Stone gives you augments other than levels.

I see that they have more stars the higher you go but the exp for doesn't seem much different. Yellow material gives 2x exp when used to upgrade a weapon while the purple gives 2x exp when upgrading an armor. Rosetta stone is an augmentation system, independent of materials upgrade. In practice, its +1 stats for the weapon/armor augmented. Its so small and rosettas are so scarce that its more wise to save it and just blow it if you happen to have a top ranked weapon in game. Basically only use the stones on 5* items, the better ones.
