Well, congress isn't one person. I'm sure at least a few congressmen are secretly racist.

And I'm sure him being black has something to do with something. Republicans pretty much hated Clinton, but the level of disrespect they showed Clinton vs Obama is pretty huge.

Of course, there may be some instances where it may not be the congressmen themselves, rather, they just need to appear racist in order to appease their constituents.

Secretly? There's plenty that are openly racist, lol.

Can you name them and provide some evidence to back that up?

Ron Paul certainly wasn't opposed enough to the anti-black and anti-gay rhetoric contained in his newsletter to stop it's publication or retract it until he was criticized publicly for it.

Sununu claimed outright that Colin Powell only supported Obama because he was black, effectively boiling their combined political careers down to a racial compact.

The former GOP chair from Florida, Greer, said this in regards to voter ID laws...

Quote:
sat in on many meetings where it was discussed of how to make sure that what happened in 2008 when President Obama brought out the college age voters, the minority voters, never happened again.

TP founder Wes Harris said
Quote:
...anyone that is a Muslim is a threat to this country...

Let's not forget the famous GOP racists Thurmond and Rehnquist. "Integration is akin to communism" according to Strom's speech in support of Jim Crowe.

There are COUNTLESS examples of congressmen saying openly racist things, especially in statehouses, where there is far less media attention.

Personally, I feel that Hillary is a bad choice, but I have yet to see a republican candidate who, at this time, could actually beat her in a presidential election.

That must be why she's so actively running against herself at the moment.

As for Jassik's post, there wasn't much there that was both truly racist and current. There were plenty of people who voted for Obama only because he was black. Is it racist to point out a fact?

Not at all, but it is racist to accuse someone with a distinguished military and political career of voting based on race.

You really can just look at the language people use to describe Obama and other blacks.

Newt called Obama a "successful food stamp president". There was a GOP newsletter referring to Michelle Obama as "Mrs. Yo Momma". A representative called Obama a "tar baby" in a radio interview... Dude, if you don't see plenty of blatant racism among congressmen, you're not looking.

What, only blacks get food stamps? You're such a racist for suggesting that.

But seriously, I acknowledge that there is real racism there. A lot of it is just taking comments out of context to make it racism when it really isn't, though.

I have to agree with Rav on the food stamp thing. Sounds more like an economic diversity slur than racial, even if in the head of Newt he wanted to make it a racial slur.

Still incredibly stupid comment to make, but the primary response to thinking it's racially motivated is a bit of a stretch. Even if it is the intended motivator.

More whites get food stamps than blacks. Context matters, sure, but it's an indication of how loosely they are accustomed to using those kinds of words. Hell, one TP organizer made a joke at a town hall meeting about gorillas escaping from the zoo being Obama's family trying to get to the poles, or something close to that.

There's plenty of people crying racism where none exists, obviously, and it's not racist to point out facts if they apply to the discussion. But, there's a ton of real racism and racially charged rhetoric being thrown around. Half the time it reminds me of the scene in Clerks 2 when Randall has no idea that he's being racist because that's how he was raised.

I type on behalf of those who do not worship Satan's under region like Asura.Kingnobody and Inc.

There is hope for the United States of America but it will not come from political parties. The hope is found in independent individuals who realize they have the right to run for office without having to be millionaires or billionaires or follow a political party hierarchy dictating what is best. We need new ideas and that requires thinking outside the treason that represents us today. Once we attain office justice will follow accountability will be upheld and constitutional law will once again grace the 50 states.

This grants the citizens of our great union a smaller federal government and restores balance in rights of the states. The only business of the federal government is to maintain a standing army and navy and protecting our sovereignty as a nation. While upholding and defending our rights and constitution. Note i said rights and not privileges. Because rights can never be taken away privileges can.

This means more freedoms and lesser tax burdens. Taxes should be increased or decrease through the states themselves by the peoples vote. There will be no hidden tax due to artificial inflation from central banking practice. The era of lies and deception of false promises is coming to a end. Do not be surprised to see true change for the better. True change that does not involve Republicans or Democrats but from new founding fathers and mothers who want a better America that revitalized our manufacturing making goods produced and made in these 50 states. Innovation is born in this nation and will not be shackled. Keep the faith and never lose sight of a better America.

Yeah, good luck with that.

Tell us again how you plan on raising $5k just to apply to run for president.

Yeah, you do that. Let's see how fast your presidency lasts when people who depend on social services (not only including welfare by the way) from the federal government revolt.

Your term would be shorter than William Henry Harrison. You do know who that is, right?

There is no hidden tax from the Federal Reserve anyway. You keep saying that, but I don't think you know what that means.

So, anarchy is it? You know that's considered treason just to say that.

But you don't know what treason is...

I thought the US had freedom of religion so why shouldn't someone be able to worship satan's "under region"? Seems just as valid as worshiping Jesus and consuming his "body" and "blood"

He is attributing himself as "good" while anyone who opposes him as "evil."

While at the same time attributing homosexuals in the group of "evil." Like a good little parrot he is, except that he is 40 years late, when Christianity was really and strongly against homosexuals.

Jokes on him though, I don't believe in magical pixie-land stories of a guy being born from a virgin, creating wine from water, walking on water, and casting Reraise on himself before getting mutilated and coming back 3 days later.

Should we post a YouTube video of that pagan ritual of winter solstice that Christianity stole the idea from? It's a YouTube source, so flower-head cannot say it's false.

Most of today's house republicans were elected under the promise of sabotaging Obama (scary black President) on every turn, so it's no surprise. The people who voted them in are the lowest form of human life and their voices are being heard. Yay Democracy.

take away that (scary black president) and you may have weight to what you said.

Btw.. racism works both ways. There are plenty of people who voted obama in BECAUSE he is black.. I don't like bringing that fact into the argument.. but if we are gonna talk racism they may be people who oppose him because he is black, but at the same time there are those that SUPPORT him specifically because he is black.

That, in itself, is a racist assumption. People probably voted for Obama because he was coherent, articulated, charismatic and promised change; All of which is amplified when you're the follow up act to Bush...

Appreciate it chaosx that means a lot but only citizens can vote nothing against you. I want to make a point to kingnobody that he is saying I hate folks of different gender which is not true. And he keeps thinking Satan's under region is something sexual when I use it to reference hell. I want to let him know that he is allowed to believe what he wants and says as they are his opinions and not mine.

I don't stand for the corruption we live under that he adores in my opinion. And he really does have to worry about that because it's coming to a end. I want to offer a apology to those who believe his assumptions of me are for hate when I do not advocate that. I propose means to make him finally proud of this nation so he can put our flag on again.

I extend a offer of civility to you Asura.Kingnobody if you do the same to me.

Nobody says that's hell. Fire and brimstone. Lava. Kim Kardashian's talk about her day. Those are references to hell.

But if you really want to reference hell, make sure to say "spending time with you (Lordgrim)." That's most people's version of hell right there.

Trust me, if you were to go into a position of power, I would expatriate quicker than you can say "Truth." Your ideas are idiotic at best, traitorous at worse, and all around not feasible. You can't understand concepts, so you attack them instead.

Fine. Stop ignoring questions directed to you.

When you finally answer the following questions, I will start treating you like a person with an IQ of 40.

1) What is an appropriations bill?
2) What is interest, and how is it created?
3) Who owns the Federal Reserve?
4) What are the 3 principles of law?
5) What is debt, and how is it created?

Don't worry, we all know you will get the answer wrong, but at least show the attempt. Who knows, maybe you will finally learn something.

Im jumping past all the back and forth and addressing the topic. Could someone tell me what Obama's deal is with Iran? I can't seem to find what he is proposing. Are we, as Americans, cool with him making deals that we dont know the specifics of? That Congress isn't getting a say in the matter? Should they (our representatives) get to vote on the deal he created?

I didn't get to keep my health insurance. I dont trust the guy to go make secret deals with Iran.
