UPDATE: the petition(to prosecute the senators under the logan act) has now surpassed 100,000 signatures, which means the White House will have to respond to it.

100k signatures in 3 days. Anyone want to wager it hits 1,000,000 before the end of March?

Source

EDIT: WOW! Since this morning (when I saw the 100k signatures) it has hit 219,046!!!!! It more than doubled in the 12 hours I was at work!!

I also am truly shocked. Over 200k liberals think that just because congress stood up to the president they should just throw out that whole "equal branches" concept.

I'd like to see your justification for Obama being insolent. Please elaborate!

in·so·lent/ˈinsələnt/
adjective
showing a rude and arrogant lack of respect.

I'm trying to think of something snarky to add, but that definition alone sounds so much like Obama that I can't think of anything else to go with it.

You have a fundamentally wrong understanding of the phrase "equal branches."

Partisan bickering in Congress never !
It's part of the process, but historically a comprise always comes to light. Compromises seem to come by less and less now.
Lack of trust towards the Commander in Chief is a main factor associated with that.

Why compromise when you don't expect the president to fulfill his promises?

Had to look it up? You should do your research before making a claim.

So you've got nothing except your own personal distaste.

Good to know!

Is that what we're doing with Iran?

I thought we were setting up their acquisition of a nuke in 10 years?

Sure sounds like PEACE to me.

Just out of curiosity, where does someone go when they seem to arrive at a conclusion in the absence of evidence or citation?

At which church did you go to school again?

More evidence of you living in a fantasy world, you have no idea what the deal entails, neither does the GOP Congress, but they have already pre-determined to hate the deal and reject it regardless of what it says.

Absence of evidence? I've been around since he's been elected. I think my pool of evidence is deep enough. I mean, heck, just Googling "Obama arrogance examples" gives you hours of material to look at without forcing me to cite everything.

If you earned a position of stature and bunch of people repeatedly made inflammatory claims about your origins and perpetuated ridiculous lies to discredit you, would you consider yourself insolent for refusing to play into their games and taking the occasional shot back at them?

Wait, are you saying that Obama's most recent State of the Union address wasn't insolent towards the Republicans in Congress and the nation at whole, since his party just lost a major national election and lost control of Congress?

Or his most recent actions in his executive orders involving immigration and defense?

Or during the time of the Tea Party led government shutdown, did he not show insolence towards the American people by ordering the federal parks to be locked up, even though there were no guards or personnel associated with those parks?

Every single time Obama doesn't get his way, he throws a tantrum and shows his insolence towards those who "took his toys away," so to speak.

Arrogance is confidence without justification, he's got plenty to gloat about. And what are you talking about "ordering federal parks to be locked up"?

I hope to hell you're not talking about the government shutdowns, the president has no fault in congress's inability to pass a funding bill, period.

I like a lot of what you say sometimes, but why do Tea Party haters need to be such haters? Is it our fault that during the back and forth when Boehner made concessions every time, Reid insisted on all or nothing? I don't get how Reids refusal to move an inch places the blame on the Tea Party.
