Low level skill up gear - any available?
There is equipment from Sparks of Eminence that help to increase magic and combat skill up rates.
As for crafting, there are food items, and a quest with a chance of obtaining a cape to increase synthesis skill up rates. Outside of the lvl 99 sparks gear you can get, there should be a prouesse ring (~75ish?) and terminus earring (80-something?) both for combat skill gain that I'm aware of.
Edit: saw this was in crafters forum >.> There are weapons that have a latent of whatever skill +1 when your skill in that craft is <40, they all have pretty easy quests too and are level 1 all jobs iirc. Terminus and Liminus earring, and the Prouesse Ring are all that come to mind for combat/magic skill gain equipment outside of Sparks.
There are rings you can obtain in Adoulin at the inventors' coalition. Torques(which is what I assume you meant by treasure chests drops)are 70.
edit: guys this is crafter section! Additionally, if you have Seekers of Adoulin installed, I would do crafting for skill-ups there with Ionis active.

You can also buy books from RoE NPC's that give .1 > .5 per book. Depending how far away from cap you are you can get anywhere from 10 to 40 levels for 50k sparks. The further you are from cap, the more you get per book.

The is only one piece of gear that increases your crafting skillup rate, thats Shaper's Shawl. There is also gear to increase your base skill, as well as rings to increase your success rate, decrease item loss, and increase your HQ rate. Guilds also now sell "kits" which are a simpler way to do certain recipes specifically for skill ups. They're usually cheaper than actually buying the regular ingredients, but they can never HQ and always are lost if you fail a synth. A very good way to get through the crappy early levels of crafting without tracking down uncommon materials in bulk.
Because Ionis offers a skill up bonus, it's a good idea to grab a bunch of kits, go to Adoulin, craft there, and then return to the guild if you need more. They added home points at the guilds so you can travel back and forth much quicker too. Well the op doesn't explicitly say crafting skill ups, so I can understand the confusion. I think by now all crafts have a torque, aside fishing iirc.
(It doesnt directly help with skillup, but it really helps the process a lot by extending the range of recipes you can do, so you can pick the easier/cheaper ones, aside that you mentioned about the torques). Goldsmithing: dens of rancor Weaver (forgot for what): the shrine of ruavitau Alchemy: vegalumon (or something like that) palace Cooking: gustav tunnel Better yet, check this excellent page: http://www.bg-wiki.com/bg/Crafting_Torque_Farming_Guide_by_Funkworkz Aside that, the others skill+ gear are obtaining by stocking a shitload the guildpoints. The process can take several weeks. The last one will require synergy to make the stall. Aside those, exclusively for crafts, you have this little precious: http://www.ffxiah.com/item/27591/orvail-ring Ionis is supose to help with crafting skills also. cptkel said: » Thank you everyone for your input! and sorry for being so vague in my OP. Does anyone have a link to the weapons an earlier poster mentioned with latent effects? Not sure of a page that has all of them, but start typing 'trainee' into the search bar on here, most should pop up then. What craft are you searching for? http://www.ffxiah.com/item/19274/trainee-burin

Definitely older than the newer set of torques when they added Clothcraft/Goldsmithing/etc. |
