I used to play a MUD called Alter Aeon before I started playing FFXI(I think it was around the time it was released for the PC, but I didn't have a PC then ;s). It was a fun game, I actually enjoy FFXI because it's basically exactly like a MUD with a GUI.

MUD's are actually the reason I was initially hesitant to play FFXI as I was pretty sure I'd get sucked in if I started, lol.
