I'm just trying to figure out what a "satlite" is.

Maybe its like a sat-phone. Sat-phones changed a lot, right?
How would a change in sat-phones affect the way people farm though?

This I could see helping to change farming.

If you're not partying too much on a Saturday night, then you won't be hungover come Sunday morning when it's time to harvest your crops.

How much of the US has to worry about Soil Moisture anyways?
Pretty much anywhere there are farms.

Dryland wheat can grow on 16" of rain a year. Dryland barley on 14". There is no dryland corn, potatoes, or soybeans.

Even in moisture rich states like Wisconsin and Oklahoma knowing how much water is in your soil and long term forecasts influence what you plant. Corn is thirsty, sunflowers far less so.

I do find it amusing to see things that people consider "deep" or that "make you think". It seems to me that a vast majority of the time it's because people aren't smart enough to understand it or it doesn't make any sense to begin with.
That's because you can't see the Truth that isn't taught in our schools about the historical apocalypse.

To be fair, this is a Chanti thread which only 1/5 ever have more than one post to begin with.

Got to be an optimist in that regard.
That's because I find things interesting and postworthy that no one else here gives a **** about.

Face it, were it not for the derails this would have been another one post thread.

I actually appreciate the majority of them. just because no one posts doesn't mean people don't read them.

you should spell check the thread titles though, damn.

Sometimes you need a typo in the title just to get people to respond.
