Divine Might Earring Reaquisition

I have a question about DM Earring reaquisition. I have searched for an answer but couldn't find it.

If your alliance lose the fight, will you lose the Moonlight Ore Key Item? Or you get to keep it till you win it?

I'm guessing you would lose it, but I need confirmation. I don't wanna spend gil on light ores till I find a suitable alliance to do it.

Its the same as if you was doing DM as long as fight is flagged in quest you keep doing it till you win. Light ore is more to flag the quest again. As i still got my earring as we went 1/2 on fight losing the 1st round.
