Why is summoner so hard to unlock?
Looking for a fire weather in appropriate zone is like so hard. been trying for days. any advice or just keep showing up at those areas and cross my fingers? Thanks
It all depends what time of the year it is, which zone you been trying?
Use weather npc's and just be patient. I got mine in east/west altepa border way back in day I think.
Someone collected a bunch of weather data years ago and graphed it here
(click to make bigger) ![]() If you check the vanadiel time of year using /clock , and refer to the chart, you can see that the jungle is actually the best time of year around august. Back when I unlocked smn ages ago i would zone between the 2 jungles every 5mins. If its not during the summer months, just pop between the altepa zones instead. Weather npc is also good to check too before you do a 2-3hr span of weather camping. I ended up getting my fire weather from Valkurm Dunes
I think it's strange that chart only has 3 zones for fire weather, which we all know have more zones than that....
Mount Z is a good example. It's so difficult because it was released in a time where SE made you work for every last teeny-tiny achievement.
These days, to borrow a phrase from Michael Westen, we get a little more carrot and a lot less stick. The hard one for me was snow.
Rangemont Pass at L 45ish.... It's even easier to check weather if you have a pair of Magian Spectacles - just use the spectacles while in the zone you want to check, and choose the Almanac option for a 3-day weather report.

He meant, trying to run through it, to get to the glacier.
I got my fire in valkurm, just hangin' out till it popped. The chart is prettttty old, it was made like before TOAU even came out. Or right around that time. thanks everyone that's great advice. i'll zone there every few minutes in the desert. ^^
because this game used to be the absolute best & everything was hard!
Most days around mid day there will be fire weather in valkurm dunes it doesnt show on weather npcs and it doesnt last long but you dont need it to anyway.
It's also fairly common in Czeiak.

I was a poor newb that didnt know oil and powder was a bit smarter choice to use to get through there. Some nice jp person escorted me through the zone and it was a icestorm when i zoned into glacier and i was so happy. Good times. I'm not sure if you have gotten your weather yet but an old school trick is go to the dunes before you go to bed. Zone into the dunes from the Konschtat Highlands zone line. Put the camera into first person and tape down your "walk backwards" button. You will back into Konschtat and as soon as you zone you will walk backwards into the dunes again. Leave it like this over night. When the CS starts you will not move and viola! Squirrel has his flames. Make sure you take a picture of your rainbow when your done. Its the only time La Theine gets one.
could just afk in the desert or jungle while at work and sleeping...
Mosin,
Unlocking a job that's not even new shouldn't be this annoying lol thank you guys. got it just now by zoning from altep east and west back and forth I started the quest, kept the ruby in my inventory for a long time and eventually collected all of the weathers. Didn't go out of my way for any of them. Not the quickest way, but you'll eventually get it this way.

If you're already in the zone when the weather begins, it doesn't count. Nagokasylph's idea would work though, since you'd be constantly zoning back and forth. Couldn't you just run over to the cloister of flames? It's always double fire weather there.

But in my travels the past few weeks, I've seen fire in Meriphataud Mountains and Tahrongi Canyon. Then there was double fire somewhere and I was just like -.- I think it was the jungle. But alas, that's old memories of old tasks coming back to haunt me. Fenrir.Atheryn said: » Siren.Sieha said: » could just afk in the desert or jungle while at work and sleeping... I thought perhaps because it was listed for Earth, but there are other zones listed twice like the jungles. |
