Is there any way to remove someone from your friends list?
Yes. It's done from the friend list in the play online menus. It cannot be done in game.

Go to the drop down menu under your avatar (to the right of your screen) and scroll down to "Friends". Next, you should see a small "x" next to the person's name box. Click "x" to remove the person from your friend list. Hope this helps. :)
EDIT: It's to the right of the person's name box, but the "x" is really small to see but it's there.

Edit: Nevermind, I found it. Had to use the inspector in Firefox to find it because the "x" was the same color as the background.

lol...well like I said " the "x" is really small to see but it's there."

Double Edit: I use Google Chrome, so that's why it's probably hard to see. I had a similar issue a while ago but luckily a mod helped me find it. Guess the visibility could depend on the browser, some browsers are better than others.
