Hi all,

Not sure if this is the right place to be posting this but here we go:

I've been trying to play around getting ashita to work, but I'm having one major issue with it right now. When I boot up I get slapped with some screen-covering POL mask that I can't figure out how to get rid of. Any tips on what I'm supposed to do with that?

Post a screenshot I'll take a look as my Ashita works perfectly (but took some configuring originally)

Also try these settings to get you off the ground.
Code
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8" standalone="yes"?>
<settings>
  <setting name="config_name">Retail (Windowed)</setting>
  <setting name="language">2</setting>
  <setting name="resolution_x">800</setting>
  <setting name="resolution_y">600</setting>
  <setting name="boot_file"></setting>
  <setting name="pol_version">EU</setting>
  <setting name="background_resolution_x">-1</setting>
  <setting name="background_resolution_y">-1</setting>
  <setting name="menu_resolution_x">1600</setting>
  <setting name="menu_resolution_y">1200</setting>
  <setting name="boot_command">/game eAZcFcB</setting>
  <setting name="auto_close">1</setting>
  <setting name="startup_script">default.txt</setting>
  <setting name="show_border">1</setting>
  <setting name="log_level">4</setting>
  <setting name="unhook_mouse">1</setting>
  <setting name="d3d_presentparams_buffercount">1</setting>
  <setting name="d3d_presentparams_swapeffect">1</setting>
  <setting name="test_server">0</setting>
</settings>

My current settings are almost identical, except for the menu resolution, which shouldn't really be the problem. I'll post a screenshot shortly, but basically what happens is the game loads as normal, but on top of everything is a fullscreen window, completely blank, with the title POL mask. I can move it around out of the way, but it stays on top, and can't be minimized.

Never heard of that :o

You're going to need to go the Chat option on Ashita Site and ask RZN for assistance on that because that sounds like something rather new.

If I still had my log me in rescue log in I'd offer some assistance that ay but I honestly wouldn't know where to start with that..

It sounds like its booting from the wrong directory, do you have the latest Ashita Boot?

Thats what I'd assume it was due to

I've only just downloaded and updated it so everything should be the newest version - unless, naturally, I've buggered it up with my lack of knowledge/expertise somewhere, heh. I'm popping onto their chat to see what help I can glean there.
