I can confirm that VE Elvaan is not soloable by a beastmaster, uses shield strike extremely often that stuns your pet, and I believe it resets hate.

This was super helpful - thanks! :)

I've soloed this a few times now as BST/DNC and had mediocre clear times (17~19 mins with iLvl 117 Ibuki pet), but found that switching to /NIN was suuuuper smooth. Still need remedies because of the tiger's Roar, but doesn't require self-inflicted poison or wasting TP on healing. Havoc Spiral consumed 2~3 shadows and there's lots of time in-between to get Utsusemi up again.

Someone mentioned parsing the pet's accuracy: for iLvl 117 Ibuki, accuracy has hovered between 53~55% (and that's with Run Wild for the final 35% of the fight, and looking at dasva's Run Wild testing, that's over pet:accuracy+150 in this case).

Personal best completion time is 12min 13sec.

Just Chapter 8s, Buried Vestiges and Beryllium Ores. ; ;

Got a new personal best around 11min 4sec - really wish I had an i119 axe, heh. Used Run Wild at ~40% and Ibuki had 62% accuracy that time.

Edit: Ok, so if Galka and Elvaan are a no-go... anyone tried Hume/Taru?

I did AA TT on VE a long time ago and we got the Scythe drop. So it can drop, it is just very low drop rate. I have not seen any armor/weapon drop since then...

Edited for "AA TT"... important part was that VE does drop the weapon.

I done three to four complete set of armor 119 p on papers on all AA's. Never seen any weapon drop. The only time I ever seen any weapon drop is DM normal once and that was scythe. Weapons are hacked like old salvage gear or myth I tell you.

Nice work, Xceptre. It's always nice to see text strategies shown in video format. Any plans on doing other AA's as well (and possibly on a bigger full-screen format)?

This is the most conservative attempt at anything I've ever seen... It's like watching a thf with just thief's knife TH'ing behemoth....

You'd have killed it 10 minutes sooner had you weaponskilled... like... just one time....

You -DO- know that the latent on the eminent axe was off that entire fight, right?

Yea i was aware lol.
i just did not wanna run the risk of having no TP eating a spiral(all it takes is a second for poison to drop and eat a spiral with no tp and its over) ,The initial purpose of it was to show a friend how to just do it on dnc sub,
it also was not my intention to try and burn it as fast as possible because i would rather take my time and not lose merits,
The best way is to just nin sub it and burn TP making it much faster like i said in the description,

We duo'd EV as BST + SMN, but it was a pretty close fight. The Shield Bash move is extremely irritating indeed.

I've killed MR myself a few times. Already had the Tabar from a divine might 2 clear with LS. Still no felistris mask. :< I find it considerably better to go /nin on her. I find the same with HM. Still trying to find a decent way to go after the TT without getting petrified/trying to rely completely on the Tulfaire.

On Normal? I've duo'd her on Easy as BST+SMN. Pulling hate with Avatar long enough for pet to get a tp move off between shield bash spam.

Nah, not Normal mode. It was a trial run on VE I think.

Amon Drive petrify slowed me down enough to time out even on VE using Ibuki. Had no sustain problems, but I'm not kitted to the nines. What'd you use to bust him to 25% in 21 minutes?

i was countering spikes with regen and a pot when needed and had /nin for amon,
Then just poped ws at 100tp and tried to stay on him as long as possible before i had to take myself off him to heal up,
Other then that i was just timing plumage so i was not getting bent over on the TT teleporting.

have done hume and mithra numerous times with BST, BRD, and COR. tulfaire pet lasts until cloudsplitter phase with a proper DT and reward setup, should only need two for the kill.
