From the SE site for the next login campaign...
Quote:
Trading Goblin Stew 880 in lieu of the four items needed for the quest to increase your bag space will enable you to successfully complete the quest.
* Completing the quest requires you to have the necessary fame to start the quest.
* Goblin Stew 880 may not be delivered to other characters on the same account.

So does this mean SE is giving us more bag space???

I think it's likely to be for each previous gobbie bag quests that increase your inventory

No.

You can use this item to trade instead of gathering all the required materials to trade to the goblin to increase existing gobbiebag quests.

It just means you can use one item instead of four like Dhalmel Leather, Steel Ingot, Linen Cloth, and Peridot for gobbie bag 1 and so on.

This is one of the smarter ideas SE has had lately.

Pretty much that. If they hadn't made it rare it would have been even smarter tbh.

Can we get a 500K gil option to increase to max without having to light street lamps for hours and hunt obscure items on mules?

Think about it. Due to reduced market supply, finishing all gobbie bags difficulty has inflated hugely. Collecting those items can take weeks camping ah or going to kill mobs for drops then shouting since not in stock at times

Do you honestly think that was the intended nature of making the most common items on ah part of a quest?

Not only that, but who honestly has the time or energy to do that for a mule?

Sometimes I feel like a one man army because I am capable of doing things without having people hold my hand in game.

Then you get into the debate of real difficulty vs. fake difficulty.

I did full gobbie quest (and all other inventory upgrades) for my main char and my 5 mules, it was expensive and time consuming and not easy and that's the way it was and we liked it! ain't gettin no sympathy from me on this topic :P

if it was expensive, it wasn't time comsuming. Because back then you could buy all the items in 10 minutes on the AH.

I've done it for 10+ chars too, both then and now. try doing this quest today and see! : p

okay I'm one of the nerds that lvled all crafts back then and still could only make 80% of all gobbie bag items. Tell me how you do things by yourself without relying on others nerd, I want to see all crafts 90+ on 5-6 mules and no shouting or AH buying needed!

It's surprising how little you guys are understanding the current situation of the game.

not true at all, i had to camp the AH day and night for weeks leaving my game on 24/7 to check the AH every time i woke up at night even and still not finding the items i needed

I like this, it will be nice to save some gil on gobbie bag items. On a side note, since they are 1000 login points each and can't be transferred between accounts, it's not like you will be able to cap your bag out from one campaign.

They're 1000 login points, so considering beastly shanks sells at 300k on my server, this is probably not that much cheaper than buying the 4 crafting items (possibly costing more), if they are available.

Good for the lazy people however!

AH SE where they hand everything to everyone and hope you keep your subscription going a lil longer. What ever happened to a lil bit of hard work for that sense of accomplishment, shiz since they're doing this why not pay back the gil everyone spent on upgrading their gobbie bags in the first place. Way to make lazy people even lazier.

"I want it NAO ! Waaaaaaaaaahhhhhh !"

"If you don't give me stuff I'll go play WoW, k thnx."

And so on ... Really I've been playing this since 2003 and when it was harder it was a lot more exciting. But then with the current population numbers, people being so focused on their own devices/intentions and lack of interesting collective contents. The only way the game has to "thrive" is going down the hill on difficulty so it has a chance of getting new players and keep current ones subscribed. As sad as it goes, it's this or nothing. -_-;

Price is one thing. Availability is another. I have better luck trying to contact people and commission synths than camping AH.

camping AH? you know there is an app for that.

emailed by guildwork. why would anyone wait on the ah.

who still needs gobbiebag at this point? who will be making mules and for what reason? crafting is dead below 100 and above it.... well. like 10 ppl per craft per server actually try.

not to mention we get safe storage sack satchel and case now. so a mule with 120 before he goes to toau for locker?

i guess free mog locker upgrades will be next. no more need for imperial gold coins.

hell im sure even new players dont even know about these quests. some (like 5 ppl on each server) are just aimlessly leveling solo.

christ if you people are going to complain about them making *** "too easy" at least complain about something like farming the papyrus in an alliance or something instead of how they're making it easier to finish a quest involving buying random mats off the auction house

who the hell actually leveled every craft and made every gobbiebag item themselves even back in the game's most hardcore years

if they made limit breaks level capped, nobody would ever get past them. try leveling a new character to 99 even with a couple friends.
