Items Price History After A Patch

Always been wondering if this is a bug with FFXIH or something working as intended. Obviously leaning towards the second.
I'm talking about the fact that after a new patch and after the new items have been added into the database, FFXIAH will show how many of them are for sale on AH but will not show any transaction for a few weeks (3-ish?)

Why are things working this way? What is the reason behind this choice?

My guess... w/e check items prices in AH does it by ID, and dont have the new items ID and probably have to wait till someone update that bot, and since availability its just a "list" it can show that... but just speculation.

If it were like you said we could call it a "bug" in the system through which they fetch data. Does make sense though.

Instead I kinda started to assume they were doing it for some reason like, I dunno, preventing excessive misuse/abuse of economy exploits for new items or avoiding to list an item before its price has stabylized or something like that?
