I have collected almost enough dice/residue to do another quick acquire empy ws, and am trying to decide which I should get. I am looking at either Ukko's or CDC, and trying to determine which would be a better idea. I know Upheaval is still very good, but I am not sure what the gap between it and Ukko's is, assuming either WKR gaxe or Razorfury. Same thing with the gap between CDC and Req. using Burak. CDC would be for BLU for now (eventually PLD prolly), and I know that BLU has a lot of other tools to use to make them effective via spells, but I also know that WAR is more desired for events than BLU. Anyone have any advice between the two?

I'd say it depends on what you do and where you can put your merits. As someone who has all of the aformentioned ws, I rarely use ukkos (until 119 ukon is done and even then i won't have needed to unlock it) Upheaval is going to be better than it 95% of the time and it's also annoying to 5 hit with Razorfury w/o samurai roll(whether that be a problem for you or not). As for CDC vs Req, if you are on pld or blu you probably want access to both. CDC is awesome for limited buffs or things that resist magic.

If I could only do one it would probably be CDC. Or you could always wait and grind out the NM trials and get both :)

Ukko's has broader uses even in party play, CDC is probably one of the less used WS at this point because of Requiescat's higher damage potential. Upheaval and Ukko's are closer overall in damage and potential than CDC and Requiescat are.

BLU has enough attack in most situations to make Requiescat your go-to, better skillchain with Quad Cont. than Amorphic, etc.

I'd do ukko's first unless you play BLU only solo or far more often.

I'm still having an issue with getting my WS. I have the VW's done and the CS in Pashhow Marshlands S done. What am i missing?

did you go to the Walk of Echoes on Xarc_S side and check the spot there? You can enter pash_S then tell kupofried to warp you to walk of echoes and the spot you trade is over there.

Having all the ws mentioned above I can say that I use CDC far more often then UF. Heck I use ruinator more then UF. Its that the situations that UF beats upheaval are pretty rare and WAR is often buffed. BLU on the other hand tends to solo/low man a lot of stuff. Reives, WKR, Salvage, Dynamis, Abyssea, and various other stuff. In those situations CDC tends to beat Req. So definitely unlock cdc first unless u do everything as war.

I'd have to second Saevel on that. CDC is potent, especially in high crit situations. The use with BLU is pretty amazing. With that said, I have seen higher output from req-quad darkness than I have CDC-amorphic darkness both inside and outside of abyssea. If memory serves me, CDC-quad catches up, if not pushes ahead, of req-amorphic with AM1, but if you're doing a WoE you won't have that.

I will further say that smacking a mob or NM in a high crit situation and seeing the numbers CDC can produce will make your sticker peck out.

Huh? If you already have a 99 Vere, you can unlock Victory Smite and keep the weapon. So your only choice is whether to keep it at 99 or upgrade to 119 (though given the fairly low price of boulders, why not upgrade it)

To OP, on tojil with my typical ls buffs and ukon 119, upheaval is about 11% better in damage over ukko, to give you some idea.
