I'm still having the problem where I crash just after selecting my character.
I've tried unloading every addon/plugin and reinstalling windower, but no luck.

Edit: I just tried launching it in vanilla and still crashing just after character selection, so does anyone know how I can fix this?

Try using an older graphic's driver, that fixed it for me.

Who broke luacore? Check out the error in rolltracker. It's pervasive.

Looks like Scoreboard is broken as well. I'm getting this error...
Scoreboard: Lua Runtime error: ...am Files/Windower4//addons/scoreboard/scorebard.lua:335: "mob" is not defined for numbers

It was always there. For the last few months there has been error suppression code in the libs that prevented Number.Index from throwing an error (it returned nil instead). After thinking about it some more, we decided that kind of error suppression was probably a bad decision because it could hide A) where the error actually is and B) lead to bad coding habits (which I am guilty of). As such, it was reversed on -dev a week or so ago.

So it's not that party1_leader is new. It's that 3.mob used to return nil and now it throws an error. For whatever reason, though, almost all the cases where this error suppression was being used involved the get_party() function.

Sorry to sound like a broken record, but I noticed a timers push today when I logged in and berserk buff duration on war still isn't correct. Missing the 2 pieces of duration + gear I mentioned a couple of pages back.

Added now, I just forgot about it. But for the record, that's why I said that these kinds of things should be posted on our issue tracker. There they can't go under in a flood of posts, so this wouldn't have happened :D

I multibox and I constantly crash upon zoning. Do you know which plugin/addon is causing this to happen because crashing like i2394203 times a day is very fustrating.

Are you sure it's crashing and not freezing? I.e. does the POL window close with an error, or do you just get a black screen and nothing happens? If it's the latter, it's known and there seems to be little we can do about it, short of delaying the zoning process for different characters. If it's the former it's new and I haven't heard of it yet. Provide us with a crash dump and maybe we'll find out what it is.

I'm 99% sure I'm crashing. Next time it happens I'll SS it & get a crash dump.

edit: Ok what I get is "PlayOnline Viewer has stopped working
A problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available." so I'm definitely crashing. Trying to figure how to provide a crash dump. Will post when I do.

I've had this problem a few months back, but after an update (windower) it happened to go away. I'll get the crash dump up asap.

Can we get a little better error reporting in Lua?

There was a luacore update recently and I keep getting the following errors in one of my plugins:

"id" is not defined for numbers 2
"id" is not defined for booleans 2

It doesn't tell me which plugin or where.

That dump file seems to be from an outdated LuaCore. Can you try to get another one after you update again (you probably have already by now)?

It should already tell you the addon with the exact file and line number as well. If it doesn't it seems to be a bug…

I was under the assumption that LuaCore was updated automatically when I open windower. If my LuaCore is outdated then idk why my Windower isn't updating properlery. I have auto update on.

edit: my current version is 1.8.2.0

The crash dump is from an older version, so it must have updated since then. And yes, that happens automatically, but only once you start a new Windower instance, so you must not have restarted since the time the update was pushed.

Can you narrow it down to a certain addon? What conditions cause it? Login, zoning, battle, etc.?
