How To Redeem CE Code?

Hi all,

I bought the Collector's Edition for my GF as she only had standard from v1.0, but we can't find where to redeem it without creating a new account, anyone know?

Where did you buy it from? What system? and is it the DLC CE or the physical copy. I just found out today after calling Amazon that when I get home from work I have to uninstall the phase 4 beta version and re install the game with their installer using the activation key I got for the actual CE purchase to get my in game items.

I bought it from Square Enix's site, it's the digital collectors edition

Did you install it with the new download and use the activation key you were given? Or are you still running off the phase 4 beta client?

She's still running from the phase 4 client

So if I understand this correct, to get the amazon pre order bonus I have to uninstall my phase 4 beta and reinstall the game.

Okay, I have now installed the installer that came with the game.

I was thinking that because the code for early access is tied to the SE account to log into the game, Anyone try just redeeming the code through SE account main site?

1. Login to SE account
2. Click "Select service" under "Services and options"
3. Choose FFXIV
4. On Mog Station click the icon that looks like a sun with the + symbol (add platform) and follow the instructions to redeem code.
5. Log out of game if you're on it and then log back in to get the bonus items mailed to your character if you have CE.

Did not work for us, says you have to do it through the PS3 (we don't have)

Edit: We honestly just gave up and made her a new account >.> And the code had absolutely no issues being redeemed on a new account
