When they add BLU's mainhand skill into Magic Accuracy for physical spell additional effects, BLU will become a lot less crappy in Delve. Right now our m.acc for secondary effects like Sudden Lunge stun and Delta Thrust plague are our 440 skill from mainhand sword. Mobs have higher m.eva than this unfortunately as I noticed Sudden Lunge stuns DC Tulfaires like 40% of the time and plague wears off in like 10 seconds. When they adjust this I'm sure a BLU can solo stun any Delve NM with lunge(riskier on MB though) and spell damage will rock mobs more than now.
Off handing the Tamaxchi WKR club alleviates a lot of the Macc problems blue suffers from. It's pretty bad *** actually especially when you gear for all spells appropriately
Generally the spells with the best Added effects are fairly MP efficient (aside from unbridled) and low on the dmg side. I never had a qualm about gearing delta thrust for Macc as the damage it could do was pretty pathetic in comparison to melee dmg and the SC potential sucks.
Linking physical acc to magic acc would be a bit overpowered with the skill updates. Not having to compromise on some spells would really unbalance the job. Actually Delta Thrust is extremely efficient. It's what 34 MP? Even on old content it used to do 500-700 damage, low recast and pretty much disabled a mob from using TP moves when solo or low manning. It's an invaluable solo spell. Of course the base damage of it hasn't caught up to what kind of damage a BLU can do now by just meleeing with Tojil sword but the Plague is still very nice (when it lands). The update will add +main hand skill to additional effect m.acc i.e Sudden Lunge/Delta Thrust/Whirl of Rage/Disseverment/Bilgestorm all have trouble landing their debuffs on Adoulin content mobs.

Even regular mobs resist the crap out of any add. effect. They've boosted everything due to iLevel but many niche things are still unchanged so they are significantly off balance. Yeah, and added effect accuracy has always been problematic, anyway. But I can understand their reluctance to make much adjustment to it especially with amount of macc available now and the power that some of those added effects have on the gameplay.
Well m.acc has been an issue for *some* spells i.e Barbed Crescent/Tourbillion. But many other spells the m.acc has been exceedingly high until now i.e Delta Thrust/Sudden Lunge/Sub Zero Smash.
problematic was intended as inconsistant. the level difference has just thrown a wrench in the whole system, they don't seem to have a good grasp on how their arbitrary decisions impact mechanics.
There is a good selection of +mag acc gear that BLU can wear which is what I use for all the added effect spells. I find that DT and SL are still pretty powerful effect wise, just need a good set.
From what I can tell BC / Tourb do not have low "magic acc", their added effects have ridiculously low proc rates (5% if that). I tested them on stupidly weak mobs in ToAU with a ton of magic acc gear and only got a wear off message once. Tested with CA, Efflux and the proc rate was still super low. People are free to redo these and see for themselves but it's not floored magic acc but a static low proc rate. ![]() I really don't know what I can do to successfully have SE fix these broke *** spells. I guess the blu player base has given up on this, but I still want this issue resolved. Maybe post on the jp forums? I will continue sending them bug reports and asking why this until the issue is resolved.

There was only 3 or so NA LSes that could regularly clear Tojil. Scrubs couldn't even get their hands on Oats without buying wins so if you had Oats, you tend to know your ***around the content. I don't even play anymore so idk how well geared the general player base are now though. |
